These are nice inclusions. I wouldn't be surprised if these ended up somewhere in my list as well.

Ghostface Killah's new album Big Doe Rehab is excellent btw. Well worth a look for those who liked Fishscale.

I am really looking forward to that one and I am glad to hear that it’s comparable to Fishscale. I just haven’t been able to find a stream yet.

I hope it's better than Fishscale. I mean, I liked Fishscale alright, but it's really not one I find myself coming back to.

I know some people like the rap/hip-hop from this year but so far, I only have a couple of albums that I really like from that genre. I do like rap/hip-hop quite a bit but, for me at least, it has been a slow year. So I am really looking forward to the new ones by Lupe Fiasco, Ghostface Killah and Wu-Tang Clan.

I like all of Ghost’s albums too so I am expecting great things from him, Wu is obvious and I really liked Fiasco’s first album.

I'm surprised no one has yet mentioned Rufus Wainwright's "Release the Stars", which will be somewhere in my top 5.

Yeah, I heard some of it and was unimpressed. Then again, I wasn’t really in the right state to like it—if that makes sense—so maybe I should hear it again.

Sorry, L.R., but I'm probably going to wait till the end of the month. I've got quite a few new albums that still need a fair shot.

Thanks for the update L.R. Looks interesting so far, I guess Neon Bible/In Rainbows are going to be the frontrunners...also would've thought Spoon would be higher, but it's early days.

Yeah, In Rainbows is most likely going to get an "unfair" amount of votes, because people who would not have bought it under most circumstances got to hear it for free. I myself am not a huge Radiohead fan, but I ended up enjoying this one.

I'm still predicting an exacta box of Radiohead/The National to end the year as 1-2.

1. Wintersleep - Welcome to the Night Sky
Best indie rock band in Canada right now, yet virtually unknown in the U.S. I'm just waiting for Pitchfork to get a hold of this one...
2. The National - Boxer
Deep, dark, beautiful.
3. Radiohead - In Rainbows
Radiohead's best since Kid A. God, I'm addicted to "Reckoner."
4. LCD Soundsystem - Sound of Silver
"All my Friends" always puts my in a good mood.
5. Iron & Wine - The Shepard's Dog
It feel like this album has been overlooked. I&W is louder and more dynamic than ever, and, in my opinion, it works. Love "House by the Sea".

6. Panda Bear - Person Pitch
7. Band of Horses - Cease to Begin
8. Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga
9. John Vanderslice - Emerald City
10. Daft Punk - Alive 2007
11. Arcade Fire - Neon Bible
12. Les Savy Fav - Let's Stay Friends
13. The Shins - Wincing the Night Away
14. Okkervil River - The Stage Names
15. Animal Collective - Strawberry Jam
16. Jens Lekman - Night Falls Over Kortedala
17. Manu Chao - La Radiolina
18. Explosions in the Sky - All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone
19. Cloud Cult - Advice From the Happy Hippopotamus
20. White Stripes - Icky Thump
