It's one or the other. You could be here 3 months and have one post or one day with 30 posts.

FINALLY! Another person who thinks that song is great! I don't even care that its last. I was tired of feeling like the only person who liked (or even noticed) that song...

Alright, New List, this time keeping it to only 1 or 2 per artist:

1. "Archangel" - Burial (It [Still] really upsets me that this song [which is totally amazing] is getting almost no love on the best songs voting) {Seriously come on people, more of you need to hear this song, I don't even give a s*** if you download it legally or not, I just need a little verification that this song is good.}

2. "1234" - Feist (I wish this would win, but it probably wont...)

3. "Everday" - The Field (Seriously, it's good, Just cause it was way up there on the Metacritic ranks doesn't make it bad. Anyone who likes Techno or Techno elements should give this song a try.) {I misspelled it on my last list, sorry}

4. "The Past Is A Grotesque Animal" - Of Montreal (This will probably win, why fight it? It's a good song. A little long, but I'm not complaining [In my defense for not putting this song on my original list, I just got it and listened to it for the first time earlier today].)

5. "None Shall Pass" - Aesop Rock (Best rap song I've heard all year)

6. "This House is a Circus" - Arctic Monkeys
7. "Brainstorm" - Arctic Monkeys
8. "Ragoo" - Kings of Leon
9. "D.A.N.C.E." - Justice
10. "Timebomb" - Beck

11. "Young Folks" - Peter Bjorn and John
12. "Patty Lee" - Les Savy Fav
13. "The Equestrian" - Les Savy Fav
14. "North American Scum" - LCD Soundsystem
15. "The Well and The Lighthouse" - Arcade Fire
16. "Paper Planes" - M.I.A.
17. "World Town" - M.I.A.
18. "Golden Skans" - Klaxons
19. "Flathead" - The Fratellis
20. "Bubbles" - Dizzee Rascal

21. "Snare Hangar" - Battles
22. "Leyendecker" - Battles
23. "Fireworks" - Animal Collective
24. "Derek" - Animal Collective
25. "Salka" - Sigur Rós
26. "Comfy In Nautica" - Panda Bear
27. "Antonia" - Motion City Soundtrack
28. "Point Of Extinction" - Motion City Soundtrack
29. "Homecoming" - Kanye West
30. "Stronger" - Kanye West

Alright. That should be it. I reserve the right to change again. Big Grin

Also want to say love your In the Mausoleum inclusion, I didn't but it in my list, but I just picked up Flying Club Cup, and that track definitely stands out as the most successful departure from Gulag.

I like that song, but I have to go as THE PENALTY as the best song of Flying Club Cup.

Whoops...I meant to add that my list hasn't been counted in the update

Don't worry tomrainbow, as people past 30 posts, I will include their lists.

Scott, I'll count this list, but no more switching. It's a pain when your keeping track of all the points.

This is called the FINAL LISTS thread for a reason....you can't submit 10 lists, or it'll confuse the tabulator!!!!

And I've listened to Burial and, come on man, it's good but I don't needs to put it on my list. Go listen to Wilco - Either Way and put it on YOUR list (the other 29 songs on my list you can add to yours too!!) Big Grin

You should go back and delete your first list so besttasteinmusicever doesn't accidentally count you twice. And yeah, keep the lists final, or don't post them in this thread.

Just to reiterate what everyone has already mentioned, do not alter your lists after you submit them. You can go and say you forgot so and so and post a new list if you want but it won’t get counted. You are lucky that best is even counting the second list because I sure wouldn’t.

And it’s funny that you love Arctic Monkeys so much and their new album and yet, you can’t seem to spell the first song correctly.

A few years ago I accidentally voted for Al Gore, and when I got home I was like "Crap, I forgot about Bush! Bush Rocks". So I had to go back and change it.

In The Mausoleum is a great song, but my personal favourite from The Flying Club Cup is Cliquot. I'm kind of surprised that no one included it but me... Confused

I love "Cliquot." Owen Pallet guesting singing? Accordions? Indie-rock homoeroticism? All good. But, "Forks & Knives," which I included on my list along with "In the Masoleum," is just too damn catchy to not include.

I probably would have had it at No. 34 if I had a longer list.

"The Penalty" is also good, but doesn't contain nearly enough Morrisseyan vocal histrionics to make my list.

Just wanted to make sure that you don't get the names of the songs mixed up. For some reason, the version of Flying Club Cup I downloaded had the names of the songs mixed up, and most of the year I thought that the name of my favorite song was The Penalty, while actually it was Cliquot.
So to make things clear, Cliquot start with the lines: "A plague in the workhouse, A plague on the poor now I feed on my drum 'til I'm dead"
and The Penalty: "Like an ancient day and I'm on trial, Let them seize the way, this once was an island"
