Someone shoot me please because I'm actually liking the new Fall Out Boy album . It's so damn catchy, too catchy actually. Don't worry, it's not something you'll see in my top 20 of '07... ... NO!

I was thinking the same thing and was happy that someone else agreed with me...that is, until I read this:

OK, I suppose it's possible that it could be a bit of a guilty pleasure.

Lol! No I don't like Fall Out Boy, but one of my best friends is a huge fan, so I hear them a lot and I know their albums pretty well. Their new one is catchier, so whenever she pops on the album, my "sigh" will be smaller than it usually is.

No need to be ashamed. I have it. And...well. It's kind of good. Actually, it's pretty good. Some songs suck, but some of them are really good. I think it's stupid people have to feel bad for liking an album. Just because a band hasn't been the greatest in the past doesn't mean they can't turn things around. Fall Out Boy have always actually been fairly good, though their previous release was pretty bad.
They're not doing anything amazing, not even close, but there's nothing wrong with a good, catchy, pop-rock album.

Ooo, and there is also talk about a new White Stripes album possiably this year!

i'm not willing to put them in any sort of order but i can guarentee that the following albums will be somewhere on my end of the year list
Bracken - We Know About The Need (Anticon) Panda Bear - Person Pitch Andrew Bird - Armchair Apocrypha Do Make Say Think - you, you're a history in rust Dalek - Abandoned Language Eluvium - Copia
Menomena MIGHT make it.. the first listen was spectacular but it's losing its appeal quickly
fuck, i haven't listened to a lot of music this year.. it's impossible to keep on top of things. anybody here any exciting electronic stuff this year?

However, I master the trick just like Nixon Causin terror, quick damage ya whole era
01. Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer?, Of Montreal 02. Neon Bible, The Arcade Fire (just added) 03. Wincing The Night Away, The Shins 04. Cryptograms, Deerhunter 05. Friend Opportunity, Deerhoof 06. Rites Of Uncovering, Arbouretum 07. Friend Or Foe, Menomena 08. Like, Love, Lust & The Open Halls of The Soul, Jesse Sykes & The Sweet Hereafter 09. Some Loud Thunder, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah 10. National Anthem Of Nowhere, Apostle Of Hustle
Deerhunter went WAY up my list and The Arcade Fire have made their debut. Menomena is slowly dropping and Of Montreal STILL remains at number 1.

Also, I didn't include albums released outside the states last year (but released in the US this year), but if I did, Jarvis and Transparent Things would certainly be in here somewhere. Maybe Writer's Block too, but I've grown rather disenchanted with that one... Who knows!

Just out of sheer curiousity, but other than maybe the fact that you just want to, why do you always call him "Andy Bird?" I don't think he has ever credited himself as that and I was just wondering why you always call him Andy when he is always stated/credited/referenced as Andrew.
It be like just saying Mikey or Mike Jackson, Dave Bowie, Tommy Waits, or Bobby Dylan or something. Just wondering.
