I'm not sure what your trying to say here, but I'm guessing it's this; You name these albums (which are good choices by the way) and we chose our own favorite tracks from each of them... SO that's what I'll do.

Some Loud Thunder - I acctually haven't heard anything about this album, nor do I have it.

Boxer - "Mistaken for Strangers" and "Ada" in a close second

Hissing Fauna - "The Past Is A Grotesque Animal"

Neon Bible - "The Well and The Lighthouse"

Wincing The Night Away - "Split Needles"

Favourite Worst Nightmare - "This House is a Circus" tied with "Brainstorm"

Our Love to Admire - "The Heinrich Maneuver"

Sky Blue Sky - Don't have it yet. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot didn't impress me enough to buy it, let alone to buy a diffrent Wilco album.

And thats mine Smiler

Some Loud Thunder - Underwater (You & Me)
Boxer - Ada
Hissing Fauna - Heimdalsgate Like A Promethean Curse
Neon Bible - Black Wave
Wincing The Night Away - Sleeping Lessons
Favourite Worst Nightmare - This House Is A Circus
Our Love To Admire - Pace Is The Trick
Sky Blue Sky - I don't have this yet...

Perhaps people might want to select songs from other albums, I didn't particuarly rate the new Interpol album, much as I love TOTBL and Antics.
How about:
Kala
Sound of Silver
In Rainbows?

SLT - Wholeheartedly unimpressive. I found myself unable to listen to it more than twice.
Boxer - Awesome album. I'd go with Blank Slate or Sq. Victoria.
Hissing Fauna - Cato as a Pun
Neon Bible - #1 of the year for me. Intervention = life.
Wincing - Sea Legs. Solid, solid album.
FWN - The first Arctic Monkeys left me yawning. Don't plan on getting.
Our Love to Admire - Pioneer to the Falls
Sky Blue Sky - Don't have. Not a Wilco fan.

Kala - Don't have, doesn't bother me.
Sound of Silver - North American Scum
In Rainbows - Videotape

Here's some new albums.

Strawberry Jam - Chores
Challengers - All the Old Showstoppers
Widow City - My Egyptian Grammar

Um, Sunset Rubdown is not associated with Broken Social Scene. But both bands are good, I’d check out their latest albums first and then work backwards.

That's a pretty silly reason for feeling like an idiot.

If you want to try Broken Social Scene(and I highly suggest that you do), I'd recommend starting with You Forgot it in People. I think it'd probably win a poll for people's favorite BSS album.

Thanks.

Both for the album suggestion and for making me feel better.

I've decided to let myself come on here since I'm over half done my finals.Big Grin

Some Loud Thunder - "Yankee Go Home"
Boxer - Very difficult to chose, but I think I've settled on "Mistaken For Strangers", but "Brainy", "Apartment Story" and "Ada" are all close contenders.
Hissing Fauna - "Heimdalsgate Like a Promethean Curse"; I'm one of the few whose favourite song isn't "The Past is a Grotesque Animal". Apparently, I'm also one of the few who doesn't have a signature containing lyrics from that song as well...Wink
Neon Bible - "Ocean of Noise"
Wincing the Night Away - "Australia"
Favourite Worst Nightmare - "505"
Sound of Silver - "North American Scum"
In Rainbows - "Reckoner"
Strawberry Jam - "For Reverend Green", but I also love "Fireworks".
Challengers - "All the Things..."
For Emma, Forever Ago - "Skinny Love". I listened to this one for the first time on the weekend, and have listened to it a few times a day since then. This didn't seem like something I'd like (I'm generally not into folky stuff), but for some reason I can't stop listening to this.
Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga - "The Underdog"
The Stage Names - "A Hand to Take Hold of the Scene"
Random Spirit Lover - "Taming of the Hands that Came Back to Life", but "For the Pier (and Dead Shimmering)" and "Mending of the Gown" both get honorable mentions.
Person Pitch - "Bros"
Myths of the Near Future - "Golden Skans"

And, a few I'll add:
Icky Thump - "300mph Outpour Blues"
The Great Unwanted - "Get Outta Town"
Fort Nightly - "The Plot"
The Historical Conquests of Josh Ritter - "The Temptation of Adam"

I haven't listened to Our Love to Admire, Sky Blue Sky, Kala, Widow City, or some of the other ones mentioned that I didn't give a song for.
