i like the iron & wine cover as well. sam beam actually painted it himself (he was also a film professor, what can't he do?!).

Wow. Love it. Great call. All the better since this was unexpected. Plaintive cracking voice, big sound, great use of the recorded voices, overall production... Goosebump inducing at times. He's definitely got it going on. Recalls Flaming Lips' Soft Bulletin a bit (mainly the dynamic production) - a very good thing in my book. I wonder if it will get US release in 08? I'll be watching for more from him...

Though I was disappointed with a lot of the album, Björk's 'VOLTA' has undeniably amazing cover art. My pick of the year.
