album name=wincing the night away song name=hmmm tough one. hate to seem like a copycat, but the past is a qrotesque animal is a great choice...so is no I in threesome
I'd have to go with "That Summer, At Home I Had Become The Invisible Boy" as my favourite song title of the year.
For some reason, as far as album titles go, I really like "Songs From The Deep Forest". I'm not sure why. I think perhaps it's because it conjures up the idea of woodland animals clubbing together and conjuring some beautiful, magical music. Right?

best album title contenders: My downfall, Afraid to dance, Painted sky, None shall pass
best song title contenders: ...theres so much great titles. I think the album with the best song titles is Icky thump, especially 300 km/h torrential outpour blues.
I like the song title- "Pussy Head Man from Outer Space" and album title- "Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo" (love the album cover art as well). Both from Acid Mothers Temple though the song is on a different album (the band has released 5 or 6 albums this year).

Maybe "worst" isn't the right term. I think what I'm trying to express is the word "embarrassing". They are great bands and great albums, but I feel silly talking about their album names. They border on ridiculous. There are a lot of really poor bands with worse album names. What makes these seem bad is that the albums they are attached to are so good.
And I'm not shocked to find that I could easily be in the minority on this. The names made it through a series of corporate and advertising filters (okay, maybe not In Rainbows). So obviously someone likes them.

Been reading these forums for a couple years now and you guys have steered me towards some truly great bands and albums, so thank you for that.
Decided to make this my first post because of the obviousness (to me, anyway) of the best track name of the year: I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You by Black Kids. As for best album name, it's gotta be Fort Nightly (White Rabbits), just 'cause I'm the kind of guy that throws around the word "fortnight" in casual conversations.
