Pela's Anytown Graphitti has continued to strike a chord with me. I placed it at 8 on my list, but yesterday when I was listening to it, I felt like it was definitely a five or six. Up there with Bird, and maybe even better than Okkervil River.

I agree. I had it in my top 10 as well, but it does seem to get better with each listen.
I walked into someone else's office at work the other day, and they were listening to it. I guess he can access my iTunes directory through our server. I thought that was so cool.

i should have rated raccoo-oo-oon's "behold secret kingdom" higher. what an awesome album - each song rewards repeat listening. i like this a lot more than "is night people". one of the best experimental groups out there

I really liked Weirdo Rippers. With more time, it may have ended up in my top 15. Another album I really liked that didn't get any attention was Myth Takes by !!!.
I'm still super happy with my list though .

I totally forgot to put the Turbo Fruits' self titled debut on my year end list. When I was listening to albums while making my list, I skipped over for it because I wasn't in the mood for it, and forgot to go back to note it. It's really solid (dare I say better than Be Your Own Pet?), and probably would've ranked somewhere in the low 30s for me.
You really think that Turbo Fruits was even blose to BYOP? I doubt that BYOP could put out another album, but I still love their debut (I love putting it on while I'm driving) and thought that Turbo Fruits was pretty disappointing.

I figured they weren't fans of Pela because Pela sucks... but that surprises me that they don't jack-off to The National. Hmmm...
SO! I just gave the National another shot and they're totally sweet! I'm totally in love with them now... probably would've been my numero uno last year.
P.S. In case you didn't catch it, that was sarcasm.

Boris with Michio Kurihara - "Rainbow" I don't know why I didn't return to this sooner. Really good stuff - would have definitely have made my end of the year list for 2007.
