I haven't downloaded the new Shins, so I wouldn't know that it is really good.
While excited for the Arcade Fire, I'm a little apprehensive, as the EP wasn't quite up to par. I have hope every year for a new Wrens album - it's a good thing their shows are so amazing.

If you're referring to the self-titled EP, it was recorded well before Funeral, only to see a proper release last year. They hadn't quite developed their sound fully at that point.

Um. Two questions for you: 1.Did you just finish reading Jane Eyre? 2. Do you want to be my boyfriend?

Modest Mouse, Radiohead, Of Montreal, Wrens & Arcade Fire top my list as well as yet another year waiting to see if Portishead manage to put something out. But there looks like there are going to be literally tonnes of exciting releases.

Aren't we required to talk about Radiohead? Where's your footnote?
My bank account could handle a slow year, considering I've got another kid with a June 2007 release date due out this year. But I'm sure there will be a bunch of stuff coming that I'll end up buying.

I don't need my signature if I mention Radiohead or quote someone who does. It fulfills my obligation. They'll be after you soon, too...

Is the Sigur Ros confirmed? I can't wait for a new one from them. The latest EPs were great and all, but nothing compared to Takk... or Agaetis Byrjun. Considering most of my 2006 list is from bands I'd never heard before, 2007 should be incredible. Not to mention, m. leland, Radiohead.

I haven't heard the leaks of The Apples in Stereo, The Shins, and Explosions in the Sky, so I wouldn't be able to tell you that they are all solid albums.
Anyways I am mostly looking forward to the Arcade Fire, Andrew Bird, and I am keeping my fingers crossed for a late year Beirut release...
I never hated any of you/I loved you all at the time

Radiohead. Spoon. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. The Shins. The White Stripes are working out songs right now, even though they haven't set any kind of date, it HAS been 2 years since GBMS, and they seem to release an album every 2 years.
i think they might surprise us at the end of 2007.

I'm interested to hear what the new Stooges album is going to sound like. I wonder if they'll pull a "Mission of Burma" and release an album that sounds like the past 30 years never happened, or if it will take the path of Iggy's more recent solo stuff. I hope it's great. They were a band who were very much ahead of their time in the 60s and 70s. I'd be a shame for them to reunite after all this time for a lousy album.

No, I just watch too much Arrested Development (my roommate has recently discovered the wonder of the show), and I'll freely admit that some of Tobias's speech mannerisms might have rubbed off on me.
And I fucking hate the Bronte sisters.
------ Aren't there any girls out their who like good music? I need to and want to meet them. My favorite bands are Overkill River, The Nife, Songs:Ohio, and Nuetral Milk Hotel. Please let me know if your into indy music and like to go to show's and drink beer's and makeout.

No one's mentioned the new Lucinda Williams. It'll be worth a look, at the very least. New Feist would be nice, and she's due for it. I'm optimistic after seeing her live last year.
