The new Nine Inch Nails record, Year Zero, really has me curious with the USB drives left in bathrooms and mumbling conspiracy theory sites. (The album will be officially released on April 17, apparently.) Whether or not it's any good remains to be seen, but this is pretty slick. Cool

By the way, I'm fairly sure that anyone having any qualms about downloading the leaked track can feel OK; undoubtedly it was all just part of the plan. Razzer

Haa anyone checked "The Besnard Lakes": are the dark horse. From the review of drownedinsound looks very promising. Any torrents?

I've heard some of the Besnard Lakes disc, and yeah, it's quite good.

I hear that Les Savy Fav and Broadcast are both working on new material, so if those come out this year, that would pretty much make my 2007.

Biffy Clyro's new album is going to be absolutely huge. Everything I've heard from it so far has been excellent. Can't wait to hear the whole thing.

On March 6, there is a reissue of "Black sheep boy" by Okervil River with the original CD (of course) and the "appendix", including a thick booklet and a special CD case. That might interest some people, like me, who don't own black sheep boy and hesitated to buy it.

I'm also curious about how will sound the next Minus Story record. "No rest for ghosts" was great, but I think that Minus has the potential to make a torrific album. I'm also interested for the next Thee more shallows album, strangely on Anticon records. Sadly no news about a new 13 & God or themselves record

Yep, it comes out May 1st and it's called Tio Bitar. I'm excited, Ta Det Lugnt is one of my favorite albums. I don't think they'll disappoint.

the new Dalek album, Abondoned Language, should be a keeper. The one track that I got a chance to listen to was awesome (you can check it out at pitchfork).

I went to their website, and the song that played on the homepage was shit. The one lyric that caught my ear was "I see a darkness..." yikes.

I don't know if anyone's mentioned it yet, but Iron and Wine have a new one coming out in the fall called The Shepherd's Dog.

And speaking of Iron and Wine, fans of Beam should like Winterpills, who I've just found out have their second album, The Light Divides, coming out February 24th. That's when they're playing a local show to celebrate the release anyways. I'm not sure when you can order it yet. Their self-titled from 2005 was great.

I've heard two tracks of this record and it's okay so far. But I wouldn't couple them with Iron and Wine...

They remind me more of the Weakerthans or early Decemberists, really.

Have you heard their first record? I don't think you'd compare them to either of those bands if you'd heard that one. Maybe the new album takes them in a new direction though. I haven't heard anything from it.

Obviously, you've never heard "She's Got the Jack."
