What you should do then, is post your list, with Wu Tang number one. That way one list will recognise the contribution you feel they've made to 2007.
I'm a huge hip hop fan, love the Wu Tang, but I only heard the album last week, and personally speaking I'm listening to so many other albums at the moment I haven't been able to listen to it anywhere near enough to force it into my top 20, or push it past my other favourite hip hop albums this year like Brother Reade, Brother Ali, Super Chron Flight Brothers, Blu & Exile, C Rayz Walz, Sean Price, Wisemen, Scholarman, etc, etc.
I like the sound of the new Wu Tang going by first impressions, but it's just released too late in the year. Besides which, the Metacritic forums, with a few notable exceptions, don't really love hip hop like you and I, so in any given year I think you'd struggle to find a hip hop album being recognised across the board.
