Check out a new song I found on GVB by a group called Odawas. The name of the song is Alleluia. Reminds me a bit of Midlake, and Roscoe was my favorite song of last year. Check it out and tell me what you think. Great whistling about 2 minutes through. Quite a song.

I am also digging that Odawas song. I have yet to check out that Midlake album, despite my best efforts...good to know that it sounds similar to this, though, almost positive I will like it when I get my paws on it.

As for Odawas, I will definitely check out this album upon its release. Good call.

Arpeggi - Radiohead
Videotape - Radiohead
Rhododendrons - Bloc Party
Ocean Of Noise - Arcade Fire
Waiting For The 7.18 - Bloc Party
Black Wave/Bad Vibrations - Arcade Fire
The Past is a Grotesque Animal - Of Montreal

That seems good, yeah.

Good call on Videotape. I love that song along with another new Radiohead songe called Down is the New Up

The only song I've heard this year that really forced me to take notice (not saying it's the only good song, but probably the only great song) is Arcade Fire's "Intervention". I hope it's representative of Neon Bible as a whole.

Midlake's album is very good. It has about 5 excellent songs, a few later songs aren't as good. If you decide to buy on Itunes I'd say you should buy:
1. Roscoe
2. Young Bride
3. Head Home
4. Van Occupanther
5. Branches

I would say those are the 5 best songs, but hopefully you can get the album.

"En Gang I Ar Kom Det En Tar" (try pronouncing that...) the lasr song off "Tio Bitar" by Dungen is perfect. Not only does it close the album perfectly, but it's just a gorgeous.

"Intro" is amazing too.

23 is an amazing song... but, then again, I'd be willing to put up any of those songs against the majority of songs I've heard this year
