Yes, I'm very behind in my 2007 listening already.

oh hell.
i'm hearing the new shining record "grindstone" and its amazing, but the lead-off track is superb, definately a standout for this month if not the rest of the year.
the title is, confusingly enough, the same as their last album, but it's brilliant nonetheless.

Shining - In the Land of Kitsch You Will Be a Monster

I haven't seen any love for Turn on Me off the new Shins album. It would be my favorite.

"mer du japon" on the new air album is providing some serious goodness at the moment. "the past is a grotesque animal" from of montreal and "sea legs" by the shins are tickling my musical lobes too.

Arcade Fire - Keep the Car Running

I keep listening to it over and over and over again...

Ghost - Hemicyclic Anthelion. 28 minutes of wankery IMO.

"Bro's" by Panda Bear is, at least for me, the song to beat so far this year. What a beautiful song.

Bro's is my favorite of the year as well. Hopefully the rest of the album is as beautiful and tuneful as Bro's.
