I finally got my paws on Ulrich Schauss' new album, Goodbye, and I can't get enough of the dense, shoegazed electronic sound. I love it and it will easily crack my top 10 of this year.

Yes I have been liking it. Though maybe not one of my top 15 favorite albums (it is probably somewhere in the twenties), there certainly are some excellent tracks on there, especially the painfully beautiful "Fly Low Carrion Crow". I am also glad they finally got rid of the 10+ minute acoustic ballad, since that really killed the momentum of their last few albums.
Saddle Creek :-\ I haven't paid the new 65DoS album much attention until recently and I'm really enjoying it a lot now.

LastFM accounts are pretty great. I'm friends with a few MC kids on there, and I've started a group on there for Metacritic Forum members. However, L.R. William Spencer has yet to confirm my friend request...
------ Aren't there any girls out their who like good music? I need to and want to meet them. My favorite bands are Overkill River, The Nife, Songs:Ohio, and Nuetral Milk Hotel. Please let me know if your into indy music and like to go to show's and drink beer's and makeout.

How do you search for groups? I've done it before, but right now I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it.

Never mind. I had to use Google to figure it out. I just joined the Metacritic group.

I'm glad there are people out there that are appreciating Josh Ritter. I agree that it's a great album. A solid collection of songs, and a very smooth flowing album that also varies drastically from song to song. But everyone already knows my opinion on the album.

Yeah, I just saw this on Pitchfork! Holy shit! The only lame part is that the digital release on October 10th only features the first half of the album. The other half won't come out until December.

We're also discussing the new Radiohead here. I can move that thread to a more appropriate place if requested, although right now it looks self-released.

Damn! October is looking to be an expensive month for me: Radiohead, Band of Horses, The Hives, Sunset Rubdown, Springsteen, R.E.M. And aside from Sunset Rubdown, none of them will be available for cheap on eMusic. Looks like I'm going to have to take out a payday loan!

Les Savy Fav's "Let's Stay Friends" is really quite enjoyable. Before this record I had only heard their singles compilation "Inches", and while I thought it was solid, I wasn't too impressed since it is record of all their finest compositions throughout their previous albums. Almost like a greatest hits.

That's not really true about Inches. None of those songs are on any other album besides Inches; at least they weren't when it was released. Inches was a truly impressive effort becuase it's a collection of nine singles, released on nine different labels, recorded over eight years, and all presented backwards chronologically. Plus it has some of the funniest homemade videos of any album I've ever seen. I do like the new one a lot too.

Radiohead shows the way:- Even with no required purchase amount for the download I feel sure this album will be BY FAR the most profitable album in history for the musicians involved.

Pela - Anytown GraffitiI’ve had this album now for a while and this is definitely a “grower.” With repeated listens, this album is showing me just how good it is. It has some great musicianship and is filled with both tender and gritty moments. There are some really great melodies on here, some tunes that grow into immense crescendos and just a lot of good music on here. I hope everyone has given it a chance, a really solid album.
