After listening to the soundtrack to "Office Space" pretty much all night, an album which has a bunch of hardcore rap songs, I've come to this conclusion: the word "MotherF***er" really rolls of the tongue well and fits nicely into a rap. It's got that trochaic rhythm that gets the job done (when not writing a shakespearean sonnet, of course). Trochaic couplets with a ponderous baseline. I'm talkin' Ice Cube, Geto Boys, Blackman, Destruct & Icon, and Scarface. They all employ the "MotherF***er" trochaic couplet to its highest and best use, I believe. Props to 'em. Now get the F*** outta this forum and get yourself some old school rap and test my sh*t! None of this Fity Sent nonsense. OLD school.

What about 2-Pac? What am I saying? I don't know anything about rap...Sorry I'll leave this to the experts, and stay away from the rap discussions.

I never thought of "motherfucker" as a useful poetic tool in terms of being trochaic, but it is useful, isn't it?

It's certainly more useful than this mouldy old thread on its poetic merits that I seem to have wandered into. Roll Eyes
Donde está la salida por favor?
