That's a respectable list, more on the hardcore side I guess. In all honesty, you don't think "Slim Shady LP" is a classic, or "Fugees - The Score" is better than Raekwon's? Some rap albums are forgotten I guess.

In my own humble opinion, The Score was certainly a classic... but nowhere near (not even close) as good as the highly-influential OB4CL.

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill was better and easily one of the best mixtures of Hip-Hop and soul ever made.

After much soul searching I came up with...

1. Mobb Deep - The Infamous.
2. Outkast - ATLiens.
3. Nas - Illmatic.
4. GZA - Liquid Swords.
5. Common - Resurrection.
6. Raekwon - Only Built 4 Cuban Linx
7. Cormega - The Realness.
8. The Roots - Things Fall Apart.
9. CL Smooth and Pete Rock - Mecca and the Soul Brother.
10. AZ - Aziatic.

...the realisation that I need to listen to more Hip-Hop from the 80's.Kept it to one artist, otherwise It Was Written/Hell On Earth would have been up there.

I loved The Miseducation...I would definitely put that among the best of hiphop/soul infusion albums, but I liked The Diary Of Alicia Keys better. Just my opinion though.

My list:

1. All Eyez On Me - Tupac Shakur
2. Ready To Die - The Notorious B.I.G.
3. Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) - The Wu-Tang Clan
4. The Infamous - Mobb Deep
5. Daily Operation - Gang Starr
6. Paid In Full - Eric B & Rakim
7. The Low End Theory - A Tribe Called Quest
8. Stakes Is High - De La Soul
9. The Chronic - Dre
10. Only Built 4 Cuban Linx - Raekwon

By the way, Aziatic was an amazing record, would definitely have that in my top 20.

In no particular order

Nas- Illimatic
Dr. Dre- The Chronic
Wu-Tang Clan- 36 Chambers
Notorious B.I.G.- Ready To Die
Public Enemy- It Takes A Nation of Millions
Jay-Z- Reasonable Doubt
2Pac- Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory
Lupe Fiasco- Food & Liquor
Mos Def & Talib Kweli- Black Star
Kanye West- The College Dropout

I know a lot of people hate Kanye West, and putting his album up there with the likes of the Wu and Public Enemy may sound a little ridiculous(don't know if I spelled that right), but Kanye is the S**t, and his first album was sick. Oh, and I don't care if you are 17, putting Get Rich Or Die Tryin and Tha Carter III on list is flat out dumb. Tha Carter III had some good tracks, but Wayne's other albums were better, and 50 Cent is like the Coldplay of Hip-Hop, his stuff sounds okay at first, but then you realize he just keeps making the same song with a different beat.

Far out! I just bought this album. I've got a couple of his CDs now. He rules.
