What kind of sound does Cyne have? hardcore, gangsta, soulful, east-coast, west-coast, etc.?

no it is more progressive...like say they could fit in with a def jux camp. But not really. It is hard to explain. They def have a more east coast sound.

I dont know if you know anything about the beta bodega group of labels? It is smart lyrics...some times political...always very witty.

As far as this album goes it is boom-bap type beats with witty exceptional lyrics.

based on a few of your previous posts i know you will like it.

trust me buy it.

it will be sitting next to 'cold vein' on your classics list in no time.

its only out on itunes right now.

it is all over p2p networks as well.

or you can wait until Sep 27th when it comes out on cd.

funnily enough it is out on City Centre Offices a german label mostly known for melodic idm music.

I was looking for some samples online but did not find anything.

Common - Be
Young Jeezy - Thug Motivation 101
Damian Marley - Welcome to Jamrock
Kanye West - Late Registration
Dalek - Absence
Keyshia Cole - The Way It Is
Kano - Home Sweet Home
Various - Run the Road

Lil' Kim's will probably be dope, too.

The single is cool.Even though i cannot tell what he is really saying. But it has a nice dub-hip-hop feel to it.

The rest of the album is pretty weak though.

I don't listen to too much hip/hop but I can honestly say after repeated listenings that Edan - beauty and the beat is a masterpiece

Definitely my pic for album of the year so far...but I haven't spent much time with lord quas yet and the kayne west just got released so...we'll see.

Oh, also I can't forget this one to add to my list:

Pumpkinhead - Orange Moon Over Brooklyn

Might be better than anything I listed.

I LOVE the albums from Cyne and Edan - easily the hip-hop albums of the year.

Not a fan of Common's or Kanye's.

Man, when I made my first list, I forgot my absolute favorite hip-hop album. How silly of me.

Deep Thinkers - Necks Move

The Deep Thinkers are a KC-based duo that kick my ass every time I listen to their record. It's freaking brilliant.

13 & God, Edan, Cage's Hell's Winter and the latest Blackalicious are the dopest Hip-Hop LPs i've heard this year. But I haven't had a chance to listen to Cyne that Imprezu keeps pimping. That good huh?

Tom Green released a rap album in late 05'. It's definetly humorous, but I don't think the humor is necessarily the overiding factor on the album. It has some good beats. It could become a cult hit, ya never know. Check it out.
