I don't know if that was in response to my comment, but if so, you'll notice that two out of the four albums you listed were from Ghost, who I said was the only Wu-brother dropping consistently stellar material.

So you're accusing me of a crime I didn't commit. (where's Cochran when you need him?)

I still listen to some tracks off Beneath the Surface, but as an album, it really didn't do it for me. But then again, your screen name is GZAGenius, so I think it's safe to say we're just gonna have to agree to disagree on this one.

The only thing I know is that 'Fishscale' makes me happy that I like rap. Solid, interesting, and beatalicious.

I just read that in an ad. That's the only place I've seen his name connected to the project too. Weird. Maybe his track didn't make the final tracklisting or something.

Yes sir....More Fish is gonna be nice.

Not to mention, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2 by Raekwon....Wu fell off???? Please....

Meth dropped a nice album this year, along with Masta Killa....Inspectah Deck's sucked, but that's ok....cuz Bronze Nazareth (from the Wu camp) also dropped a nice album this year. Wu killin' it still.

Honestly...if I had to make a best of 2006 list right now, here's how I see it:

1. J Dilla - The Shining
2. Bronze Nazareth - The Great Migration
3. Ghostface - Fishscale
4. Jedi Mind Tricks - Servants In Heaven, Kings In Hell
5. Vakill - Worst Fears Confirmed
6. Method Man - 4:21
7. Busta Rhymes - The Big Bang
8. Apathy - Eastern Philosophy
9. Boot Camp Clik - The Last Stand
10. Army Of The Pharoahs - The Torture Papers / Bo$$ Hogg Barbarians - Every Hog Has Its Day

That would probably be my definitive top 11...in no order. Lots of good stuff this year, and yeah I listen to a lot of different types of hip-hop (except stuff like Sage, Anticon, etc.), so that's why my list is all over the place.

This is one album I overlooked (but fortunately have caught up on) in the past year...and GZA, I can totally see why you put this at #2. Amazing record.
