Resurrection is, indeed, Common's best work by far and, like GZAGenius said, probably always will be. While
Be initially impressed me, I really never listen to it anymore. Although I know Common was never the hardcore, grimey type, the neo-soul-pop sheen on
Be, coupled with syrupy shit like "Love Is," is more than I can handle. On the flipside, I was just listening to
Resurrection on the way to work today. I haven't really liked Common since
Like Water For Chocolate, and with a sissy title like
Finding Forever, I have my doubts about the new one too. I will, however, withhold final judgement until I actually listen to it, which I undoubtedly will.
