Each to his own I guess.
The Mike Skinner comparison was more to do with the accent than the music. I thought by saying "if you can't listen to Mike Skinner" that would have been obvious, but obviously not. I know a lot of people who can't listen to The Streets because of his voice. Scroobius Pip's voice is an acquired taste too. I agree there is no musical comparison, which I thought I'd made clear by saying Dan le Sac was hip hop, The Streets weren't. Again, obviously not. I'll try to be more clear in future, and I mean that genuinely, not sarcastically. I will say though that if you think the lyrics are unremarkable, then it very much is a case of each to his own. Filmore: The last Streets album definitely did blow an entire herd of goats. I promise, the Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip album sounds nothing like The Streets. As I said above to Turenne, the confusion is my fault, and I apologise to Messrs le Sac and Pip for misrepresenting them.
