Found this poll asking which one is better... Jay-Z Vs. Kanye?? http://fuse.tv/music/polls/poll50.html

What do you guys think?? This is a really tough one. I mean Jay-Z has definitely been around longer and I always like his stuff but Kanye is fresh and his music is good too.. I think I might have to Vote Jay-Z on this one though I like that hes old School.

Jay-Z is one of the best rappers ever, Kanye is one of the best producers ever. Problem solved.

What crob said. Although Kanye definitely has his moments. Late Registration is pretty amazing.

Kanye, and only for the "George Bush doesn't care about black people" comment. Otherwise, they are both incredibly overrated, just mediocre talents prostituting their lifestyles over decent beats. Immortal Technique kills both of them.

Before anyone says anything... yes, I obviously care more about the message than the incomparable 'flow' that seems to be the only criteria anyone has for gauging the talent of rappers these days. I would also take Mos Def or Chuck D over either of them as well.

Apples and oranges really. One of the things I can say about Jay-Z though is that he has never failed. I can listen to all any one of his albums on any given day and absolutely love every single track he's ever put out. Kanye (all outbursts aside) is decent too, but I can't say that about ALL of his tracks and every album like I can for Jay-Z. There's a few that are consistent though, like "Drive Slow" off of Late Registration.

Immortal Technique is completely ignorant. He is wrong about almost everything he raps about.
