Most of the "rappers" I don't like don't even rap any more. Eminem is extremely talented but he sings more than he raps now. Nelly is pretty much R&B. I guess you could say I loath all hip-pop and R&B artists who claim to be hip-hop. ________________________________________________________ "The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. Thats the way 75% of hip hop is made.It is all name recognition. There are so many ghost writers and producers out there. There is probabbly a ratio of 5 to 1.For every p diddy and just blaze there is 5 no names honing there skills and making beats while getting no recognition. I hate puffy too...as well as any other mainstream artist that u can hear on the hot top 40 urban jams radio show.I still cannot believe people likelistening to it.It boggles me.

No wonder people don't like hip hop. They don't know anything about it. Here are a few amazing rappers/groups with tons of originality: Zion I, Sole, Edan, Cannibal Ox, Guru/Gang Starr, El-P, Aesop Rock, Outkast, Arecee, Alias, Binary Star, Talib Kweli, 7l & Esoteric, Wiley, Curse (the German rapper), Mr. Lif, The Perceptionists, earlier Aphrodelics, Murs, The Pharcyde, Crown City Rockers, Living Legends, Cage, Brother Ali, Mos Def, Supastition, Pharoahe Monch/Organized Konfusion, Cee-lo, Gift of Gab/Blackalicious, Slick Rick, K-os, Hieroglyphics, Atmosphere, Truth Enola, RJD2, 2Pac, Masta Ace, People Under the Stairs, Heiku D'Etat, Pete Rock, and J-Live. Do people only know what they see on TV and hear on the radio? Even Aesop Rock is on TV now. Good luck finding good music...

Yes. Absolutely. Probably good for The Game getting away from that shitheap. Unlike 50 and his current posse, Game is somewhat decent.

I dare you to say that to Cypress Hill's face (Dr. Greenthumb). What is embarrasing is how little effort is put into producing one of 50 Cent's hip-pop consumer CDs. Those guys are not trying any more. ________________________________________________________ "The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. OK...
Ice-T and NWA are. Brilliant. Hands down. Their music is good and Ice-T before he went "O.G." wasnt THAT violent. In fact, very positive message. See "Im Your Pusher" and you'll get what I'm talking about. "N.W.A." post-Ice Cube is pretty trash although Dre & company have some catchy tunes. "Straight Outta Compton" on the other hand is a MASTERPIECE! Get past the first third of the album and the violence wears off and it just becomes...good...music. Eminem is a wonderful MC whose worn out his welcome only slightly. "Encore" was mediocre at best but who can deny the catchy goodness of "Eminem Show" and the brilliant writing of almost everything before that. Fitty IS despicable, but G-Unit has some solid members. "The Documentary" is an insanely well-produced album and very cohesive for having such a varied list of featured artists and producers. IThe Games "beef" with Fitty diminishes his persona ten fold, but I still enjoy his disc.
As for who IS the most disliked rapper...hmmm....I said Vanilla Ice before. Idk what I was thinking. He's cheesy, but he has become a pretty much forgotten piece of pop culture past. Lately I've been hearing a lot of MIKE JONES. Not on my own will, of course. The guy is despicable in every sense of the word. "Who Is Mike Jones?" was his breakout and put Swishahouse on the map. And then he follows it up with "Who is Mike Jones 2?". Uuuhhh talk about creative bankruptcy. His constant self-obsession and his 48 track discs get old fast. And he doesnt even make good crunk rap. It's ridiculous, but worst of all. He has signed some of the worst talent ever to be put on a label. Baby S makes ears bleed. And.......Paul Wall, anyone. Yes, Paul Wall. Fat white man with a silver grill whose wonderful writing includes such classic lines as: "People's feelings get hurt when they find out what Im worth". Did I mention his name was Paul Wall?

I would say that about 80% of rap is that way, but that is just from personal experience. Not so much the 48 tracks, but I think that in order to be a rapper you have to be pretentious.
