I've actually warmed up to this album a lot, it does have it's flaws but overall, Lupe is a cut above a very large majority of mainstream artists and both "Dumb it Down" and "Hip Hop Saved My Life" are great.
"Something, Something, Something, STACK THAT CHEESE"

that line is awesome. That song is great too, probably best on the album, but I think this is a really great album. It's a little on the long side, and two intros is unnecessary...still, lotsa good stuff.

I believe pak asked if you could elaborate, not provide meaningless, kindergarten explanations. Wack, lame, sucks, shitty, pee pee, poo poo. That's your idea of elaborating? Laughable.
What are you talking about? so far i am the only one that has broke down every track. the production sucks. Lupe Fiasco can flow if he has the right tracks. My 3 year old daughter can make these tracks. With hooks like "stack that cheese" only an imbecile would think this is a good album. Maybe 3 of the 19 tracks i would listen to again.

Honestly, if you don't like "Dumb it Down" I can't help you, there's at least five references in there on top of the opening peerless/eyeless/iris rhyme. If you don't understand the lyrics or notice the references ask for some assistance and I'm sure we can help you out.
I actually think that you're mistaking Lupe's style for serious when, often, it seems more tongue-in-cheek ("Stack that cheese" is more of a hit to what most people are making).
If you don't like it, fine, but busting down the doors on this thread and saying that every song 'sucks' doesn't sound particularly constructive. Hudson is right in his assertion that you need to support your claims with more than adjectives.
My thoughts? I don't think it's great, we can all agree it is far too long and I think it has problems with continuity. Overall, however, it's a really nice album and had he got rid of some tracks, it would have been masterful. Here's the tracklisting that would have made this album better:
"The Coolest" "Superstar" "Paris, Tokyo" "Gold Watch" "Hip Hop Saved My Life" "Streets on Fire" "Little Weapon" "Dumb it Down" "The Die" "Fighters" "Go Baby"
That would have been a tight album.
But seriously, how 'bout some supporting evidence Mac?

By the by, saying "Only an imbecile would like..." is a pretty shitty way to make any argument especially considering your usage of adjectives consist of "Wack," "Week" and "Sucks." If you hang out around here longer you'll find that nobody here is an imbecile. Cheers.

I agree with you that " wack, week and sucks" are bad adjectives to use. I was at work when i did all of that and didnt have the time to put my all into it, and its hard to listen to the whole album when it hurts my ears.

Like i said it has a few tracks that are ok, but this is not a great album. its like any mainstream rap a couple good tracks and a lot that isn't. Iam sorry i just dont feel this album. I thought Lupe could do a lot better. I think if he gets a new producer ( i think 9th wonder would be great) then i think he could really do something.

I really enjoyed the album personally, he comes across as a very intelligent rapper and I can't get enough of Superstar. 'Streets On Fire', 'Hip Hop Saved My Life', 'Little Weapon', 'Paris, Tokyo' and 'Hi-Definition' are all very good.
One thing that disappointed me was Snoop Dogg's verse in Hi-Definition, sounded like a robot!
