A Tribe Called Quest's The Low End Theory.

Edit: Just out of curiousity, is this simply a thread for discussing what we're liking right now, or just new releases?

Its just what you are liking as of this moment, new or old.

I love that record but find myself going back more to their 'Midnight Marauders' album.I personally think it is some of the best rapping q-tip has ever done.Overall i think it is a more defining album for ATCQ.

I have shouted out numerous albums from your list.
Even though i think Elektro4 is probabbly the weakest effort to date on Bully. It still has some nice tracks.

Discovered a new one, for me at least, called Edan.
Been listening to 2005's The Beauty and the Beat this morning and have been extremely impressed, considering it pretty easily as one of those albums you could put on your top 20 favorite albums. Excellent

Wow, is that your first time listening to Edan Brian? He is incredible, had a debut album that is well worth getting as well.

In fact he is due for his third release this year.

Ahh Edan is fairly well known. Check the best of lists on Metacritic for 2006, his name pops up plenty.

I'm really liking Shad, a guitar strumming MC from Canada. His music is sincere, brilliantly produced and doesn't out stay its welcome. His debut is good but his 2007 sophomore The Old Prince is particurly essential.

I'm quite enjoying the Flobots, and Atmosphere, and the new ScholarMan, and Metaform's interesting, but I haven't had much of chance to listen to it yet.

I finally got around to getting the recent Kanye and Lupe Fiasco. Both of them are so slick I'm finding it hard to get into them, more so Kanye than Lupe. I'll persevere.

Listening to Freedom Lasso by Akala more than anything else. Excellent stuff. He's doing really interesting things with hip hop. This is even better than his debut. Like Timberlake, I'm lovin it.

I'm listening mainly to the instrumental stuff right now, of which there has been a lot of high quality stuff.

Ayatollah's Louder and Dert's The Short List in particular. Anyone check these out?
