I just heard Eminem's new single "Just Lose It". Not sure what I think yet, other than it's very poppy, and is most likely gonna be a huge MTV hit with a cartoonish/funny video. From what I've heard, Em plans on returning to his Slim Shady persona for his upcoming album "Encore". This gives me at least a small glimmer of hope, as most all of his stuff since Eminem Show has been awful (except 8 Mile songs). If he can stay away from trying to be like 50 Cent/G Unit/D12 he has a chance to put out another at least stellar album. What do you guys/girls think of the new single and do you have high hopes for the Album

The reviews are not encouraging:

"...all things end, and this Nickelodeon Nation-targeted nail in the coffin ought to go down as one of the most brutal career-killers since Spies Like Us."

Hopefully this rings true, as the more I've heard this song, the more incessant and retarded it gets. Maybe a public back-lash will cause eminem, and artist who at one time was very creative, to go back to the drawing board and give his fans something creative, new, and who knows maybe even intelligent

i think eminem has been on top of the pile so long that he might have fallen off his game. or maybe we all expect too much of him? i dunno.

I dont know what everyone is so worried about, em has always came with a crazy spoof video as his first leg outta the door. Look for this album to make just as much as the em show..

Yes, its an annoying derivative song, but the album itself is very similar to the Eminem Show album. I would say (although after only one listen) that the beats and production are actually an improvement from that album.

I've read all the stuff about Eminem being a superstar that raps about being a superstar, and all this other conceptual shit that I can kinda appreciate. If I go long enough without actually hearing his music, I can say to myself, "Wow, a white boy from Detroit with the most annoying voice and the cheesiest production on the planet became the world's biggest star." and I smile at the ridiculousness of it. Then I see borderline-retarded bros and mooks blasting this music from their used Chevy Cavaliers and I stop smiling.
