I would like to encourage everyone to buy the new album by Kanye West in order to force 50 Cent to honor his promise not to record another solo album if Kanye's album outsells him. I am not a huge Kanye fan, I think he knows how to make a catchy song but has only a mediocre flow, but he is infinitely more talented than "fiddy" or "curtis" or whatever else he wants to be called. Most likely if 50 is outsold he'll back down from what he said but even that would be funny
I've never really listened to any of Kanye's albums...I usually like the singles he releases I just never got around to full listens, you know how it is. But the two for Graduation so far really suck. Every time I hear the second or two of the "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" sample I get excited and then remember it's not the great song itself, but the sample that made a crappy song. BUT, if this business involving 50 Cent that I've never heard before is true, I might be lured out of my house to buy this thing. Kanye may be overrated, but he's for sure better than 50.
I do like everything that Kanye West has so far made. Everything he has done by himself, including his albums and his production for various artists. He is one the most talented and gifted individuals in the rap/hip=hop world.
I was always going to buy the album but this whole business with that pathetic 50 only makes me want to buy it even more now.

As much as I really treasure the idea of 50 Cent never making another record, I would love for Kanye to lose in this battle. That would have to deflate his ego a little.
Additionally, the two tracks I've heard from Graduation aren't very impressive at all.

I like Kanye, he is a good producer and one of the better mainstream artists around. As far as pretentious, Kanye is most certainly that, but at least the guy's smart and is moving the industry away from the garbage being made now. I'll buy the album to listen to, and doubly so to spite 'fiddy.'

I agree with everything you said, my friend.

As much as I dislike 50 Cent's music, I must say that I enjoy having him around. I think he's absolutely hilarious in an entirely 'laughing at him' kind of way. He takes himself so seriously and thinks he's so great, etc. etc. etc. It's just so funny! I feel bad for the people that listen to pop radio against their will (work, etc.) and are force-fed Fiddy's stuff, but I can simply enjoy making fun of one of the most ridiculous music personalities of our time from the outside looking in...
Besides, I'm not a big enough fan of Kanye West to purchase his albums, especially considering I'm still trying to keep enough cash lying around for stuff I love so I don't have to download it illegally.
