I just checked and the early reviews of the new Franz Ferdinand album are crazy good, including a 5-star review from The Observer. I guess these guys are the real deal.

I heard the new Kate Bush single and noticed a double CD will be released in Nov. I am wet-dreaming my way back to the 80's. Wow. I hope it doesn't dissappoint, and will be getting it the day it comes out!!!!!
Cannot wait.....huge fan....hopefully inject some new life in 2005 releases....

Through Googling, I just found that Ms John Soda announced on June 3rd that their new record will come out in February 2006. This despite the fact that their official website still says (and has said for a long time) that they are working on the new record and that it will be out on Morr Records in Autumn 2005.
Now there's literally nothing I am looking forward to until 2006. Still, there's some stuff I'm really looking forward to early 2006: Grandaddy, Fiery Furnaces, Ms John Soda, Strokes (though the early press has somewhat tempered my expectations for that one). Should be a good time for new releases.

I feel they're one of the top four or 5 'indie' bands going today, and I hope they release something a little more...boisterous than AMotF, but anything new by them is always welcome.
Also, I heard some new material by Pretty Girls Make Graves, and if those 3 or 4 songs I heard are any indicator of their album to come, that thing is going to clean house. Seriously.
Has anyone heard the new Deadly Snakes "Porcella" record? I've heard Gore Veil and So Young + So Cruel and there both awesome. Completely different sounding than anything they've done in the past. Man.... I love Andre Ethier's voice!
You can hear the two tracks I mentioned above on their website - go to discography page and you can launch the jukebox.
