Somebody in another thread mentioned they liked 2004 albums better than 2005, which gave me the idea for this thread.
I think 2005 is better. Granted, I've heard much more records from 2005 than 2004, but there are only two albums from 2004 (Loretta and Arcade Fire) that I see as up to the level as the top several from 2005, and 2003 for that matter. With those two exceptions, 2004 was a weak year for me.
Granted, 2005 started out really slow, but then everybody found Okkervil River at about the same time Sleater-Kinney, Spoon, and White Stripes came out.
