I saw them in Denver in 2002. I live in Utah and drove out there. I am a live show junkie and that show was my number one for ever and still in my top three. (bumped out by Joseph Arthur in SLC and Animal Collective in San Francisco here in November)

I saw them at the Orpheum in Vancouver the night after seeing Nine Inch Nails at Pacific Coleseum...it was weird. ________________________________________________________ "The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. This is kind of what I am worried about, but I think I am going to check them out. It is not too expensive, and the comments have been generally positive. It is in sort of a smaller venue, so hopefully that will add something.

I don't think you'll zone out if you know their music. WHen I weny in 2002 I brought two people who had never even listened to them though and they were both super amazed. They did a lot of cool things. The lead singer/guitarist played his guitar with a violin bow and sang into it and the bassist played one song on his bass with a drum stick. He rolled on the string like you would roll a drum stick on a...you know..whatever that main drum thing is called...yeah a snare drum. Anyway, it was super engaging and I would highly recommend seeing them.

i saw them in philadelphia this past september and have tickets again to see them in atlantic city in february. i go to school in syracuse and i am forking over the extra cash to fly down to see them because its well worth it. if you really love their music, the live experience is something completely essential. their use of video and lighting along with their on point performances are truly magical (without sounding too hokey). id make any effort possible to see them live, its an amazing experience. there used to be a link on their sister site http://www.sigur-ros.co.uk which was an entire show from iceland and is the same/similar show you would see if you went, as the show was taped on their most recent tour. look for it in the media section of the site i think

I saw them again in Salt Lake City. Wasn't as good as the first time I saw them. Don't know why. It was almost too perfect. That sounds stupid but its true. They were just super rehearsed. The new songs sound awesome live but they played some old ones that were slower and exhausting. I love all their music but live they were a bit much. Still great though. The first time was 11 out of 10. This time I would give them an 8.
