I am a huge trans-siberian orchestra fan, and there is an upcoming TSO concert i would like to go to. I would also like to take my family there (my dad, mom, little brother and sister). I am hesitant though, because I do not want my family to be disappointed if there is jumping, screaming, etc. like at a rock concert. has anybody heard anything, is it a concert where the people will be a bit more calm and are there to appreciate the music instead of thrash about? Is it suitable for all ages of family?

A close friend of mine went to their concert in Scranton, Pa. He took his wife, 8 year old, 5 year old and 2 year old sons. He said they all loved it. He said it was the kind of concert you can take your kids to. Hope that helps you. Do you know the name of the song by them that I hear on the radio station (x-mas) all the time? All I know is that it is sung by a girl(s) and they keep singing "this Christmas"?

The TSO songs you most likely heard on the radio is one of the following:

Christmas Canon - from The Christmas Attic; sung by a children's choir.

Christmas Canon Rock - from The Lost Christmas Eve; a rocked out version of Christmas Canon sung by an adult female vocalist.

This is a must see show for all ages!!

I highly recommend this show for the whole family.

We have been to the last five shows and this year will make six.

All sorts of people attend TSO concerts from very young to very old. Dress is formal to jeans and T-shirts.

There are not people jumping, dancing, screaming etc. at least, I have not seen that.

Again, their shows are incredible. DO NOT HESITATE to go.

Do yourself a favor and watch their DVD.

OK, That's enough, sorry to go on and on and on and on.........LOL

I listen to M & B every day (weekdays of course) I would be a four hour listener.

TSO will be in your area Tue.20 Nov.2007, Anaheim, CA The Pond 7:30PM

They will be up here in Sacto Nov. 25th and I will make every effort to attend their show.

You should do the same

I saw them Christmas 2007 with my whole family and it was definitely a sight to see. It's very much a rock concert in terms of the music and spectacle, but it wasn't like people were moshing where we were sitting. I'm pretty sure we stayed seated the whole time, so I'd say it's okay for an entire family to go.
