I'll post upcoming shows of interest in Atlanta, and I hope some of you will post shows upcoming in your area. So, I'll start with the show I just got tix for:

City: Atlanta
Date: Jan. 18
Location: The Earl
Lineup: Yeasayer & MGMT
Cost: $10 Gen. Adm.

I think I just saw MGMT with Of Montreal in November. They're pretty good. I'm excited to see Yeasayer (their name kind of forces you to be).

Also, this is short notice but Dan Deacon is playing tomorrow at the Eyedrum ($10).

I'm jealous, I really want to see Yeasayer.

I'll repost:

Against Me! (I don't really like their new album, but I still gotta respect the locals)
Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band (should be a great live show)
Girl Talk with Grand Buffet
High On Fire
Band Of Horses
Bill Callahan
Built to Spill w/ The MEAT PUPPETS!
Pelican or The Avett Brothers on the same night.
Perpetual Groove

What happened to Kansas? Oh well, at least now you're chillin' in the Durty South right above me.

I just found out that Caribou will perform here in late April—I am a new fan of his music—so I will most likely attend.

I probably don't need to see eels for the fourth time on Valentine's Day, but they are playing about eight miles from here then.

Liars are coming to dc. i saw them 2 yrs ago in bmore and had no idea what hit me. i have been waiting since then.

I missed Jens Lekman this past summer and hes is coming back so looking forward to that.

Radiohead is gonna tour in the summer - that should be an event.

I have heard great things about Black Lips live, i dug their new album - so another act i cant wait for.

Yep, you're lucky. You should go see Blitzen Trapper as well. They are doing a huge North American tour and I was sad to see that the closest they will get to me is eight hours in either direction.

They'll be in Denton at Hailey's on March 4th, just for you! Here are the rest of the shows.

All of the sudden Days of the New have an upcoming show on Saturday, really short notice. I really liked the self-titled but haven't heard much past that. I may go see it.

Liam Finn also has a show just announced, I think. Frag recommended him to me, and I really like it and am looking forward to it.

Caribou is also rolling through, lots of good stuff.
