Saw Radiohead last night, the second night of their Berkeley stop. To me, they were amazing; Thom Yorke's voice sounded perfect, the sound was startling and the overall musicality was flawless. They also played that song with the clapping and it was great, all of the new stuff did sound excellent but they haven't even started to record so it may sound really different when the album comes out.
"2+2=5" was one of my favorites, along with everyone’s beloved “Paranoid Android” and the energy that they had on "Fake Plastic Trees" and "Black Star" was truly superb. I was there mouthing the words and a lot of people were just looking around, lost. There are a lot of people that only like—and most that only KNOW—the post
Kid A stuff that they play. They had no idea what these two songs from
The Bends were.
It was my first Radiohead show for me and it was really incredible. My girlfriend and I loved it and it was great to hear old, new, and very new material in a live venue and the band just sounds so perfect live. AS a fan that loves all of their music, it was great just to see them live, and after hearing all of the senseless comparisons this stunning, brilliant, and spectacular show showed me just how much Coldplay sucks.
