This part of the board was looking a bit empty so i thought id make a new topic which is basicly which Grand Theft Auto had the highist fan base b4 it was actully out im not talkin about what game is the best i wanna know which one had you droolin over your game magazine the most?
I loved the orginal Grand Theft Auto. I played GTAII on the PC and I fell in love with it. It just gave me the ability to go any where anytime, and steal any car. It was the first game to give me absolute freedom, in that I didn't have to do a mission I could just cruze around the city streets splattering short stubby strong shouldered men.(There were no girls in GTAII) So when I heard about Grand Theft Auto III coming to PS2 I couldn't stop thinking about it. First they brought everything into 3D, which was amazing. Like everything in the world, when you see something in a totally different perspective it feels like whole new experience. I could walk through a city street and look up at the highest building in Chicago. Everything felt so real, a living breathing city filled with NPC's which walked around the city was all new to me. I actually got to stare at their feet in First Person! The amazing ability to hop in an ambulance, taxi, fire truck, or poice car was breathtaking.
san andreas is no doubt the best cause it shows how far the ps2 can be pushed. i like the little features they put in like the gyms and eating. stealing trains is fun too. who thought of that one?
I actually think Vice city becaus it was the 1st one I actually baught and played the story, ive played gta3 before but only once so the experience wasnt as breathtaking, Then I got San Andreas after a year of Vice City I was burnt out on San Andreas after about a week.... in that case if I never baught Vice city I would have ben as hooked on San Andreas as crack right now, so Vice City.... oh and the florida region is more buetifull than L.A in my opinion and alot of others

found the easter egg sign on the gant bridge today. i was too lazy to look for it before but now i found it. unfortunately i couldn't take any photos for evidence, cause i didn't have the camera.
Is that easter Egg on SanAndreas? Cause I found one in GTAIII. After you save that crooked cop and bring him in the garage, you gives you a whole truck load of stuff. Then he gives you a bullet proof Patriot and then he sends you a message. That message relates to another game, which was pretty cool.
yes it is. there's a few on san an but they're pretty easy to miss. has anyone found the phoenix car yet? i read it was back again but i havent seen it around anywhere. saw a pic of the hotknife. that thing looks awesome!
I think San Andreas the best. I just love playing 2 player with my friends get on a motorcycle go to the airport steal a plain fly to the biggest mointain land there get into a car drive of the mointain. It so cool

I personally hate Grand Theft Auto. Number three was alright but it didn't really change much from there. Even Mercenary's is a better game in my opinion. You can pick up cars in a big helicopter and throw them at pedestrians and its not so awfully wanna be gangster.
San Andreas definitely lives up to the Grand Theft Auto name. This is the best game in the series. Tons of variety, well-written dialogue, terrific casting, great surprises and same strong gameplay. Pretty COOL!
