Watching some gameplay right now, and it's like being inside an episode of Law & Order. Wonderful. Real, immersive, atmospheric and addictive.
Oh, could I feel as I have felt, or be what I have been, Or weep as I could once have wept, o'er many a vanished scene; As springs in deserts found seem sweet, all brackish though they be, So, midst the withered waste of life, those tears would flow to me.

Well, I've finished it and it was highly enjoyable, and even a tad involving as a story, but I have one major complaint. Why oh why was there no option for Custom Soundtracks? My greatest anticipation for this game was the idea of putting me own toons on as I patrolled a real, breathing city. In 2008, for a game, especially of the type that is GTA, to not have custom s/trax....unbelievable. And amazingly, having read a ton of reviews, I think I found one brief mention of this omission!!! Doesn't anybody else wanna fuck off Rockstars sounds and put on yr own??

Oh come on flea! Are we living in a fascista video gaming world? It's all about choice these days. Sure I can turn off the music and stick to what's on my hard drive, but its' not quite the same, is it, as that eliminates the audio balance. Of course Rockstar have done a fine job with the audio, but it's hardly an insult to Rockstar to want to have another choice when you have grown tired of the in game sounds (most of which I own already anyway).

I just found the reviews of GTA IV for XBox 360 on the http://www.testfreaks.co.uk/xbox360-games/grand-theft-auto-iv/. Guys! I'm very impressed, but also I'm very confused! I see this game has been released on PS3 and Xbox 360 only? Am I right? But will in be on PC? I read about it at the first post of this thread. Please explain me the situation. Thanks!

So damn, I blinked only to find out I had spent 5 hours playing this game online in 'free mode' or whatever. This isn't so much a game as an immersive experience. I should probably save my comments until I play the storyline. It'll be easy to get bored of the repetitive gameplay - find gun, take car, get frustratingly lost driving somewhere, arrive, die, repeat - but I don't think I will ever tire of the whole 'experience'. I need to go buy an HDTV solely for this game.
