Why. Is it because wilsonna and I shake our bootys to Fergie?

Whoa...I wouldn't go that far. I said it was "decent" but ruined by "beastly oversinging." That's not a ringing endorsement. I don't even own a booty.

I can't stand Fergie, altough that song is kind of in the whatever zone to me...not good, not awfully bad. For guilty pleasures, there's nothing like Maroon 5... I downloaded the album, and I have to say... i like it. It's fun.

What I need is shameless pop more in the vein of Chritina, Britney, Fergie, etc. You know what i'm talking about. That music that you don't want any of your friends to know you listen to.

You changed your name to "dumbledore", how confusing.

Why'd you change it?

does it have anything to do with JK Rowling's announcement of Dumbledore's sexuality recently???

As for Robyn: Be Mine!, Bum Like You, Show Me Love, With Every Heartbeat, Cobrastyle, Handle Me, Who's That Girl...

Ouch.

I had not even heard about this. I'm surprised it wasn't front page news.

JGlass, you make it sound like an insult when it's not (my apologies to dumbledore if it came off as such). i just thought it was a strange coincidence and wanted to know whether he was aware of the fact. Plus, i'm not the only who made a reference to it

I'd rather listen to Brit's cover of (Can't Get No) Satisfaction than anything Fergie puts out. She's quite possibly one of the only pop stars whose lyrics are more vapid than Brit or Jessica Simpson.

I like to be open minded, but that song ‘My Humps’ is bordering on being Audio Porn.

Jeebus I resent that you even thought of comparing Keys to Fergie. Razzer Haha, just kidding buddy. Much respect.

Seriously tho, I'm aware that Alicia Keys blows Fergie out of the water (musically at least). But they are in two totally different genres it's almost unimaginable comparing them.

Oh damn man, when i'm listening to this shameless, hollow pop I could care less about the lyrics. I'm just after some catchy sounds. And I don't care what anybody says, "big girls don't cry" is some straight up catchy shit.

Mike, Alicia Keys' problem is that she takes herself too seriously. Although with her new album she's loosened up a little, started to make the slutty looking videos and really shown herself as the Christina Aguilera-esque singer that she is. She doesn't have Christina's pipes though.

This is where we differ, I think slutty costumes, shitty lyrics, and simple (Catchy) beats are detrimental to music. Cool

I'm kidding bro, but not 100%. Maybe 90.

Hey, there's absolutely no excuse for country, none. Shameless pop, on the other hand, has nothing other than shallow ambitions and therefore can be fun.

Wow, you put up such open minded words - but dimiss country. There's good country music out there that MANY, not just the "hill billy-red necks" can listen to and throughly enjoy.

Fergie's songs that have been playing on the radio are really catchy. Sometimes I hear people say that they don't like Fergie's songs, but then you turn around, and they sit there humming to it. Yes, I agree with you guys that "Big Girls Don't Cry" is a great song. I have to admit I had it on repeat for a little bit.

Lyrics aside, the only song I've ever liked by Fergie is "Glamorous". None of the other stuff even sounds catchy to me. Brit sounds the catchiest to me, but maybe because I used to be a dancer...you can't dance very well to Fergie's stuff.

When I first heard 'Big Girls Don't Cry' I turned the radio off, but it has steadily been growing on me and while it has its faults - her whining in the chorus is hard on the ears after a while - it remains very catchy.

Alicia Keys' new album 'As I Am' is an excellent effort, 'No One' is probably one of the tracks of 2008 so far and tracks such as 'Go Ahead', 'Like You'll Never See Me Again' and 'Superwoman' will probably be hits.

Finally, in my opinion Robyn isn't that good at all,
