I wouldn't mind seeing these retire:
Michael Bolton Jessica Simpson Atomic Kitten Spice Girls Switchfoot Jet (sorry, just don't like them. IMO they are no White Stripes) J-Lo B*Witched Aaron Carter Hilary Duff Justin Timberlake 'N Sync O Town BSB Christina Aguilera (unless she can get better material for her voice) William Hung, Justin Guarini, Ruben Studdard, Kimberley Locke, Clay Aiken, Kelly Clarkson (Kimberley and Kelly's albums weren't bad, but I don't see them improving) Hoobastank Toby Keith Janet Jackson (I think she's lost it) I could do without most rappers and nu-metal artists
there are more.
Britney Spears has the occassional song I like.
I forgot about Toby Kieth. The song about America made me gag.
No feathers ruffled with LP here. Okay this is going to be quite long
Evanescence Courtney Love Creed Kid Rock Puddle of Mud No Doubt Train Yellow Card The Yeah Yeah Yeahs Dido Michelle Branch Ricky Martin Breaking Benjamin, Less than Jake, Three Days Grace, Lost Prophets, Papa Roach, The last two Metallica albums Nelly (I hate him with a passion) Wu Tang Clan (only use for them is Chappelle's show) Will Smith Ice Cube P Diddy or Puff Daddy or whatever he is calling himself now 50 cent (Except for that tropical song P.I.M.P.) Smile Empty Soul Limp Biscuit NICKELBACK!!!!
I realize this is a pop discussion but I have noticed a couple of non pop bands/artists on the list so I thought that it was only fair for me to as well.

I actually dislike Casey Donovan (the second Australian Idol, for you foreigns) a lot more. Guy Sebastian is yesterday's news and has already pretty much vanished into obscurity. Ms. Donovan is still polluting our airwaves with alarming frequency.
Also:
50 Cent (tenth time lucky, eh?) Eamon Linkin Park (or just Chester Whatshisface) Limp Bizkit (or just Fred Durst) William Hung (welcome to 2005; no-one finds you funny anymore) Any factory-made teenage pop star (that includes those who are adults by age now, like Britney Spears)
That's about it. I could go on for quite a while, but I don't want to overlap with the other users' lists too much.

Isn't that Shania Twain's husband/producer?

Garth Brooks. He may be country, but I sure consider him 'pop'. He plays what I call 'Cowboy-hat country'. Image oriented fluff that's basically a bunch of rich people who trash hotel rooms pretending to be loveable rednecks to sell records. The sort of stuff that gives the real country greats a bad name.
Most of the other stuff I would include has already been mentioned.
But..Yeah Yeah Yeahs? I must have missed something, because I thought they were a big indie-band critic-darling hipster-attarcting band of the sort that is loved on these forums. Even if you don't like them, including them on the same list as bands like Evanescence and Dido. I *know* they never got any mainstream success....

Yeah. Not to mention producing some of Def Leppard's biggest hits, including Hysteria. Career suicide? Hell, they might sell 10 million copies of their next one with Mutt at the helm.

What do you mean? Shania's last album was so good. I mean it just rocked and she's such a great dancer and she's so pretty. That's why I think her music is so good.

I'm not sure just who this post is aimed at. If it was aimed at my response to you, I'm not sure I get it. My point was only that he's a producer who makes records that alot of people buy...I made no evaluation of Shania, whom I have no opinion on whatsoever, at all. I'm not sure who you were originally calling "tools", based on the posts here, but if you're gonna call me a tool, at least get what I'm saying right.

I've only heard that one song of Shania's that was a hit a few years ago, so I can't really say much about her music..
But you're saying her music is good because she's pretty and a good dancer? I'm curious. What on earth do dancing and looks have to do with the quality of the music she produces?

I was being as sarcastic as possible. I admit that can be hard to read through forums. There I just used an elipses as a sigh at the end like when cartoon characters have a "..." in their thought bubble. Hehehe..."she's so pretty. That's why her music is so good." That still makes me laugh.

Yes, she is. No, you didn't. Yes, they are.
Okay, an extension of the list I made back in January:
Keane Moby (although not before beating him around the head with a big ol' piece of meat and forcing him to eat it) Good Charlotte (why have they not been mentioned yet really?) Simple Plan Muse (particularly annoying considering how many people consider them geniunely "alternative" or "indie") The Killers (insert mildly witty comment about The Killers getting killed here!)

I dont know about everyone on here, but I would consider Simple Plan a "Pop" Band, and I severely dislike all of their pop-heavy power ballads like "Untitled" and the songs they consider rock like "Shut up". UUggh....they make me cringe...they are fastly becoming this years Usher!

I agree with you wholeheartedly on Keane, Biggles. In my opinion there is only one worthwhile song on Hope and Fears and that is "Everybody's Changing", but the rest is Coldplay rip-off, nothing but hooks, pop trash... Don't agree with you on the Killers.Sure Mr. Brightside and Somebody Told Me get annoying because of overplaying to the point of death, but Hot Fuss has some worthwhile tracks in "Jenny was a Friend of Mine", part of the Murder inc. trilogy, and the U2-esque, "Believe me Natalie"... Also agree with you in that Moby is very overrated...

As far as Moby, I think that Play is quite a good album, but everything since is trash.
The Killers..well, I think they're kind of 'bleh' but not so bleh that I would actually take them out back and shoot them. Maybe just give them the finger.
