I agree with some of those groups, especially atomic kitten, but i have to disagree over Kelis, i really like her most recent album. The singles aren't the better songs on it.

OK thats it what is wrong with The Darkness---I actually like it. Instead of bashing--give reasons.

I would like to add The Rapture to this list. I know they are beloved of hipsters, but what I've heard of the Rapture is either a rip off of the Cure or a bunch of awful sounding dissonant noise.(Those are my reasons).

The first two Kelis albums are actually quite good, and the best songs on the new album are not the singles. The Darkness have apparently decided to shoot themselves by hiring "Mutt" Lange to produce their next album. That's the career suicide some of you are hoping for! I would definately have Britney on this list as well as I would add Ja Rule and everybody who's ever been on American Idol! Oh yeah, Enrique Iglesias can go too.

Ja Rule is easily worse than any on this list; I would substitute him for Kelis.

Not to be wussy, but I have to say that taking anybody out back and shooting them is a little cruel. Hows about we just take these folks out back and beat the crap out them? I think that would be sufficient.

And let me add another name to the list:

Timberlake.

Id forgotten about Ja Rule since he seems to have disappeared off the face of the Earth.

I also forgot about Madonna.

I just saw a clip from some fools called "Blazing Squad". I think the clip might have been a joke. It was a bunch of white guys rapping with black chicks shaking their booties all about the place. I feel like my ears have been violated.

A British boyband called Busted.
A Canadian band called Simple Plan.
Ooh and I agree with the Blazin Squad thing, they're funny.

The Darkness are pretty fun IMO. Refreshing after all the nu-metal gloom. I am not a nu-metal fan.

What if we just take them out back and force them to listen to all of the CDs mentioned on this thread?

Some people have Madonna and JT on their lists, but I think those people can stay.

But Usher has to go. So does Enrique, and all the American Idol folk.

While we are at it we must not forgot to give Guy Sebastian a horrible death (the guy, scuse the pun, who won Australian Idol).

Is there any country that doesn't have an "Idol" show? Maybe that's how we'll know when Iraq has recovered from the war... when "Iraqi Idol" begins airing.

I think there were only about seven competitors in World Idol. And one of them was the Pan-Arab Idol.

While I realize the rapture have been hyped out of this world, I think that there is actually some legitimate substance to "Echoes." Well, not so much substance in an artistic sense, but more in the notion that they create fun, loud, danceable music. For example, I picked up "Echoes" last fall and have been playing it at parties ever since. It's a nice alternative to hip-hop and, while not every song is a winner, some ("i need your love," "killing," "house of jealous lovers") are nearly impossible to sit still to. Granted, Rapture is not music to think to; however, it is the ultimate disc to put in on the Friday night drive home from work to the party. As far as the Cure comparisons go, I can't really argue that. Luke Jenner does sound like Robert Smith wailing through surgery. That said, he does bring some manic energy with his grating howl, and, in the end, that seems to do the trick for me.
