Why is everyone calling this a bad movie? I actually found it quite entertaining in theatres, and would call it average. I am by no means a fan of Vin Diesel, but the movie had very well done action sequences and shouldn't be called "Crap."

Allow me to bring my low brow into this discussion.

I enjoyed "Chronicles....." and look forward to the next installment.

A huge leap forward from "Pitch Black", and a much more involving story line.

I am by no means an admirer of "Diesel's" work, but he has found his charecter here, pretty much as Arnie found his character with "The terminator".

"Dat's vot I do. I'm a terminator."

"I should have been a pair of ragged claws,
Scuttling across the floors of uncertain seas."

I will always remember the Chronicles of Riddick as the first movie that was so bad that I actually walked out on it.
