I didn't think this movie was that bad either. I read the bad reviews before seeing it, and I thought it was much better than many critics led me to believe. For Shyamalan, it's nowhere near as good as "The Sixth Sense" or "Unbreakable", but it was much better than "Signs".

well tabuno I didn't have ant idea what the movie was going to be like before I saw it. I only saw it because a friend begged me to go and see it with her so she wouldn't have to go to the cinema alone. I'm gald I saw it .

Earlier you wondered why so many people blew this movie. One of the explanations has been that many people thought the movie was going to really be one thing - horror - when for the most part it was more about another thing - psychological thriller. To have a strong belief about what a movie is going to be about only to discover that your waiting and waiting isn't going to be satisfied and then having to shift one's understanding of the movie at the same time as watching it unfold is a very disconcerting process for many. I think that the trailers for this movie led the audience to expect for scary monsters than there actually were.
