Club Dread was just goofy. No real scares, a lot of subtle humor, a few good laughs, but otherwise disappointing compared to Super Troopers. Worth a rental but nothing more.

Anyone who thinks super troopers "rules" shouldn't be in a movie forum on a critic's website... Super Trooper's stops being funny when it pulls its third or fourth oh-my-gosh-i-cant-believe-a-cop-did-that joke. Whew, over used hyphons. Anyways, yeah, they both suck and Broken Lizard gives me inspiration that there is hope for ANYONE in Golly-wood

Nickel, I know you like to stir up controversy, but I think you are a little too critical of what others like. I personally enjoyed "Super Troopers" and a very similar movie "Old School" both are very funny. You just have to calm down with those "You have no taste and should not be on forums" comments, because they are not needed.

Digging up old news eh? Might as well be prodding a dead animal, because I cannot change what I have said. I have since then, though, apologized to others. However you, are biting for the ankles, attempting to research my history and reap a response. Look, I care not for you, but we could drop this now before I start getting pissed and get you, and myself kicked off of the forums. I will be forward in saying that I dislike you very much, but at the same time, everyone has been man enough to walk away from my uncontained bashing of them. They have nothing to prove, but apparently your "angsty" self does... you might as well be kicking me in the groin, actually, for all the effort you've given you might as well have schematically set a rat trap on my computer chair.

I'm not sure where that apology occured, but it didn't happen on this thread. Regardless, I find the accusation that storm_chaser was baiting you to be almost absurd given the things that you've said in this thread and in others. And, seriously, if his comment got you that riled up GIVEN WHAT YOU SAID then the pot really needs to examine the kettle more clearly. To paraphrase an old saying...people who set rat traps shouldn't complain when they step in one. And, for the record, it wasn't storm_chaser who kick-started this thread, so blaming him for digging up old news is incorrect. And, again, given what you specifically said about people who don't belong on this forum, his comment seemed dead on to me, regardless of whether or not you later apologized for it in another venue. Whether or not "everyone else" has been man enough to walk away from your baiting comments doesn't have any bearing on what burning_man does...he's got the same right to respond to your imflammatory statements as you have to make them.
I do think letting this whole situation die out seems to be the best course of action, so I'll give you credit for claiming that you're doing so there, even if your attempt was a "get the last word in" type of attempt.
And, for the record, I think both Super Troopers and Club Dread were terrible. My mind boggles to think that movie studios pay those guys to make movies.

I do, completely, agree. Letting the situation die out is a great idea. I will make a point of saying I targeted no one and never kept feuds going on end. Surely I didn't make it impossible to discuss movies, like storm and I have now. All I'm asking is a treaty. I could insult him, but this is neither the time nore the place. So, not wanting to get kicked out of the forums, I am asking him to be a man and get over it. I like the boards here and I'm sure there is something storm would rather be doing than insulting.
I don't think storm_chaser was targeting you, exclusively, either. He's taken shots at me in recent days on the "arbiters of taste" so I don't expect a feud to brew.
However, if you (or any other member) feel like they are being targeted, baited, trolled out, or deliberately egged into something personal, let a Moderator know. While we self-police well here, there have been a lot of very aggressive responses recently to spamming that were a little over the top. I'd rather simply delete and/or ban a post or member if they're here picking fights.

there were maybe one or two kind of funny parts in that movie, but other than that it was the rare kind of movie that is too gory to be a comedy and too stupid to be a horror movie.
