Heh, its my personal opinion that Van Helsing is the WORST movie of the year. Luckily I'm in a good mood, or else this might be the worst movie ever... It viewed like a romance with so much fake tension between the two leads it was nearly unwatchable. Honestly, this movie gave off the impression that the man wrote this, literally as he got to that seen. It was so open, pathetic, and unabashadly made with all the wrong pretenses. VAN HELSING = HORROR FOR CHRIST'S SAKE! (and if I were looking to catch a drip from this movie, I would say that shooting BABY vampires in any other movie wouldn't fly)

That movie way sucked. You don't have to know anything about movies to know that. It was all about speical effects.

I was really looking forward to this movie after I saw the previews which made me intrigued. But then I saw the reviews and the constant dislike from the people that surround me that I decided to never see it.

The critics were so mean to it I didn't bother to see it. I should have taken their advice on "White Chicks" as well but you never can trust them damn critics.

I don't mean to be, well...mean, but can you stop with these small little post that you use only to up you karma level? It is apparent that this is what you are doing, but as often as you post you could have the same number of posts, just with a little more thought in them.

I don't presume to speak for burning man, Mike, but given the way he posts and what he says, I think his Forum Karma is the FURTHEST thing from his mind. I don't think he's trying to race anyone to Guru with his odd little posts...but I could be wrong...

As I have posted somewhere else, I agree. It is not only the fact that you make very small posts, a sentence or less sometimes but the fact that you post them over and over again, maybe that is because you cant edit.. .

I returned "Van..." before I finished watching it. That says all I need to say about this flick. A HUGE dis-appointment.

I agree with you 100% bm. I was at least hoping it was an entertaining dumb action flick, but it was just dumb. I watched all of it, and now I wish I had returned it half way through.

I find Kate Beckinsale to be unbearably gorgeous, but I was even sick of seeing her on the screen.

That probably was the worst movie I've seen all year...

I didn't understand Van. I know its pointless to disect characters with absolutely no depth, but, I think its safe to say he was weak willed. Anyone that remained with Kate Bekinsale and had numerous opportunities to put the moves on her, and didn't, must be scared witless about anything other than vampires. Thats my take on the "Van"

I'm hoping it won't become one of those ongoing movies that only gets worse and worse. Maybe the director, Stephen Sommers will go a back, look at what made the live action version of Jungle Book (which he also directed) so spectacular and why this movie, Deep Rising, and the Mummy series so awefully crappy. He can't be so dumb as to not figure it out. Its common knowledge.

Heres a question: Why is it that the people doing movies these days are all idiots? I mean, its like Donald Kaufman on Adaptation...they are DUMB DUMB DUMB. They need to all be put into a dvd casing factory where they can feel involved in the movie industry, but not working with such large amounts of money.

i think theyve run out of monsters on van helsing so unless im missing one theyre gonna have to make one up or pull one from another story like maybe godzilla or something

p.s can anyone tell me what the gross was for van helsing
...im just curious if it was a big enough loser for the seqeuls to be cancelled are they allowed to do even do that legally? even if they have the stars or the director signed to a contract dont the studios have to abide by that contract or they could face a lawsuit???

haha ok im the only one here thats gonna defend van helsing guys this film was good the special effects were great the acting was actully quite good it mixed all the best elements to make a good film i watched this and i robot and i thought i robot was poor compared to this seriously some of you are just agreeing with critics in the end they are just other people with views they are not the rule makers of wether a film is good or not.

van helsing has good acting a good plot awesome effects and keeps a little humour in for good measure i could watch it again happily and still enjoy it. go figure :P

ok say what you will about the movie but the score was loud and obnoxious it literally gave me a headache, film scores are supposed to work in the background subliminally i think i would rather listen to death metal at full volume than have to hear that score again i would have to honestly say that its the worst ive ever heard
