I am not a big fan of Halo, (Comes with the territory when you have a PS2) but I know a great game when I see one. Not overrated at all. That good. PS2 has San Andreas, xbox has Halo2. The best games for each console.

Ya and if you can wait long enough, San Adreas will be coming out for Xbox in a couple months or sumtin like that!!

Halo 2, where should I begain? Well on the day that it came out I took the day off of school, I took it off cause it was my birthday and so I decided to take that day off insteded of the real day, but anyways, I played halo 2 for about 7 hours that day and got about half way throught the game. I was shocked on how great the graphics were. But I really was disapointed because of the game play change, the biggest thing that did a pointed me was the new story. I know the story was told in the view of the convent but I really thought it could have been done like halo 1. I also thought that the weapons were also a big disapointment cause they really messed up the pistol, that really makes me mad casue the pistol was one of the best weapons that halo had. To be honest I was quite disapointed with the game, but overall it still was worth the money that I spent on it, and I would do it again. It still is a great title and It will always will be!!

I recently got an XBOX for christmas (which I think is funny because shortly the damn "Nextbox" will come out and I will have to buy it) anyway, the first game that I bought was Halo 2 because I loved the first one with the little gameplay I had with it. The graphics are excellent, multiplayer is addictive, and the gameplaye is great. I thought that most of the guns were really well done, save the plasma pistol which is the most annoying of the weapons. ONE of the best games that I have ever played.

I don't understand all the Halo 2 hype. Maybe if PC games didn't exist I could understand. I'm sure it's one of the best XBox titles but honestly this game does nothing that hasn't been done before.

The game doesn't do what others haven't already done. True. But the game has taken the BEST elements of the FPS genre, and I mean the best that any game holds, and combines them into one fun and immersive game. THATS whats good about Halo 1-2.

I agree that it's a great game and very well made but I don't understand all this "Best game ever" "OMG HALO 2!!!!!" hype that it created and managed to maintain even after its release.

I don't think it takes the best elements of other FPS games. It tries to but it seems to fall short. The weapon arsenal is pretty small and not creative at all. Even Unreal had a more interesting set of weapons and that's pretty bad. Compare the weapons to games like half life and Tribes. And teamplay is a huge part of the game yet the teamplay experience is nothing compared to games like Tribes. They weren't the best made games but no other FPS has yet matched the required strategy and teamwork in either Tribes 1 or 2.

The one thing Halo nailed perfectly was its presentation. Even if the ideas are weak these guys really know how to make a solid game.

Okay, its not the BEST of every game. I went a little far by saying the best of every game in one. No, I meant the elements that it does, it does fairly well. Controls, weapons,etc. Whatever you want to say, I know no other game that has such a perfect lay-out. Just every single aspect is good. Its hard these days to find games that are well rounded.
