I picked this game up yesterday after finding out that my computer would be delayed until next Wednesday (I am angry enough to go on a killing spree right now) because I have nothing to do as it is university holidays.
Anyway, Ive played it constantly since buying it, and I can honestly say, without any kind of hyperbole, that NG is one of the best games I have ever played. It is sucking my ass in, chewing it, stomping on it, spiting it out, spitting on it and then handing it back to me on fire. It is so hard, but the sense of satisfaction you get when you reach the next checkpoint. Oh, its amazing.
Highly recommended.

I have to agree with you. I haven't played many hours of the game, but it's clearly one of the 2 or 3 games of the year so far on the Box (with Pandora and Riddick in the same conversation)

I'm planning to check this one out as well. However, I fear it's very similar to prince of persia which I just couldn't get into since I'm crap at anything even remotely platform-ish.
Please tell me it isn't so!

I normally give up on hard games pretty quickly, and NG is very hard, but I just cant put the game down. Its so insanely cool. I cant remember the last time I felt this way about a video game. Its like when you are a kid and you watch Batman or something and you get so inspired that you actually feel like a super hero. I feel like a ninja right now. I feel like I can run up a wall, jump of and while executing a backflip chuck 10 shurikens into an enemy before bringing my dragon sword down into his cranium.
I recommend this game to anyone who wont throw temper tantrums and break controllers. As for it being similar to Prince of Persia, think PoP but with one of the best combat systems ever in a videogame (and that includes fighters) with some easy going platforming action.

I don't know...you guys seem to be a little behind the times. This game has been out for a while and anyone who hasn't played it is an xbox amateur. This is one of those games that are done so well that you'll remember them 5 years down the line when the sequel comes out and refers back to the first game. It sticks out in your mind. It may look like Onimusha, but the action is 10x better.
But anyways, I liked it. I didn't think it was THAT hard, a little too linear for my new taste of open-ended games, but fun none the less. The only part I really had trouble with was at the end....(I won't give it away). But to do all that, the last guy was a little bit of a pushover.

I can say without any kind of hyperbole that the graphics are the best I have ever seen (until my godamn PC arrives and I install Far Cry that is) and I dont even play on a high definition TV.

Well, after finally just completing the game I can safely say that I have faith once again in the box - been ages since I really got stuck into a game and despite its relative 'bitch' difficulty I didnt put it down till I beat it! So whats next, I tried getting on with pandora but to be honest after NG it sucked, i even enjoyed the first!
