it's' probably because microsoft doesn't have a concept of handheld games. They can't cheat psps game play and neither of nds,so it'll take some time before they deveope a new idea.Sooner or later,I believe,it will come.Just sit tight and wait,it's just a matter of time
Why would microsoft create a handheld? when the DS owns the handheld and psp owns just a small bit microsoft wouldn't have a chance and why would they want too.

That's business and it's better if Microsoft creates a handheld. Big profits, dude.
Who knows, the handheld can play those X-Box and X-Box 360 games too, even if the handheld's expensive.

Microsoft is smart they are not moronic enough to get into the handheld arena and thus filtering resources, and money into that area when they cannot win.
The only reason they got into the mp3 arena is because the zune is just that good.

While it's true that Nintendo probably would beat them in the handheld market, Microsoft is still run by Gates. He probably doesn't need to wait for the economy to improve to make a handheld.
what they could do, to try and be different. is release a download only hand held. an internal hard drive to store games, downloaded from an MS website or download stations in shops. but focusing on the original xbox titles, so rather than getting dev's to create new games which would be a financial risk for a system that might not make much of an impact on the handheld market, devs could just tweak their xbox back catalogue to fit the system (keeping the cost to a minimum) lol i've now got myself drooling at the thought of playing halo on the bus!

Not bad. I hope Microsoft will consider making this!

Umm psp go anyone? Sony beat them to it.
At any rate the DS is so dominate that releasing a handheld right now is not worth the money spent in R&D and production. Really I think you may see something with the Zune product line as far as games go before you see any true dedicated handheld gaming device.
