Some of the great newer Xbox games include Fable II, Fallout 3, Prince of Persia, Left 4 Dead, Gears of War 2, and GTA IV. The Xbox doesn't have a lot of exclusivity in terms of games, but its games always seem to getting better ratings than the PS3

Now that's what I wanted! Any more, please? Wink

ah, everythingIAm, you can't really say that it runs smoother than the PS3, it depends on the game really, but yeah, relatively cheap (by console standards) Great online community and all that jazz (only problem with that is that there's the fees for membership) Tons of not too shabby games, the only problem with the 360's games is that a great many of them (most) are not exclusive, counting console and PC ports. I don't have a 360 and I'm definitely on the Playstation side of things, but I do like playing the 360 at my friends house.

I'd say that what makes the 360 special, is its online gaming community, which is very fun with the right games, ie. Left4Dead, Gears2.

Each console's got something that sets it apart from the other two out there, it's mostly just the subtle things about the systems

In my opinion, Xbox 360 are the better game console rather than PS3 or Wii. This because Xbox 360 had alot and better games compared to PS3 though. Not trying to say PS3 is not good, well, every console got their advantages and disadvantages. Depends on the user itself. FYI, If you like games that are more like " PC-like" such as shooting games or RPG games, Xbox 360 is number one choice as Xbox 360 comes under microsoft while PS3 comes under SONY , at least that is what i think. Xbox 360 had been around long since PS3 and that explains why xbox360 got more games than Ps3. However, Game industry these days try to create more games for Ps3. So, we might never know in the future, how it will turn like.Smiler))))

I owned Xbox 360 live and it was great though. I enjoy it and more games are available. Not to mention, much more cheaper.Smiler)))

I see. Wink

But, I heard the X-Box 360 has those reliability problems. TWICE. What is it? Is it true? Are you both get used to it? I hope so.

I better say something right now.

Well, so far, in my "Best Console Goes To...?" poll, the PS3 is one vote away to get even with X-Box 360.

SO QUICKLY VOTE FOR THE X-BOX 360!!!

Oh, and I'm getting interested for the RPG games. Wink

I'm going to have to agree with EverythingIAm on this subject. If your looking for cartoon games and you have no internet capability then the Wii is without a doubt the perfect system for you. However if your looking for more than licensed games and short mini-game collections then the 360 is system you've been looking for. I think given your preference however you would probably be wasting your money on a 360, I wouldn't go the PS3 right if I were you either (thats for another discussion though)

Actually, I'm not just into cartoon games, like Burnout Paradise and many more....

Well, it has a much better selection of games than the Wii, which I enjoyed quite a bit at first, but is really more of a novelty system. I don't have much experience with the PS3, so I can't say for sure whether it's better than that.

I own a wii and to be honest it isn't all it adds up to be. So i would say that without going into any details that the 360 is better than the wii. But i have played on all 3 major consoles and would have to say the PP3 is better. First off I can't understand people who rave about xbox live, it costs £40 per year and you need to buy an adapter for £50. You don't need an adapter for PS3 and online is free. Next the games on the 360 are over hyped, doesn't anybody elsse get bored after you've chainsawed someone for the 1000th time(gears of war) and halo is nothing compaared to the orange box which is available on both consoles. The best RPG availible is on PS3 and 360 (oblivion) and PS3 has MGS4 which is an amzing game. It also has it's very own killzone 2 which would destroy H3 or GOW2. The PS3 also has a bigger variety of games such as Littlebigplanet and when i asked my mate to name 3 xbox games which didn't include sports or shooter he got to about 2 games. The graphics processor is also better on the PS3 which is an indesputible FACT.

Which is why i think the PS3 is better.

You're talking about what, $3-$4 a month on Live service? Not much at all. Considering all the new features being added to Xbox Live, a lot of people would say it's worth it, though most of us wish more games had dedicated servers rather than being hosted by players' consoles.

As for the adapter, it's only required if you want to hook in via wireless, and in some situations the wireless connection quality would not be that great anyhow (apartment complexes and such). I live in an apartment complex and saw a lot more lag on the 360 when I used the wireless, so I wired it up.

As for the graphics processor being better on the PS3, that is NOT a fact, and it's certainly disputable. There are quite a few screenshots out there that actually show several games on both platforms and I've yet to see a single one that looked better on the PS3. There may be one or two, but that's compared to quite a few that I've seen look far better on the 360.

The cell processor also comes with it's own set of development issues which chase away a lot of developers because of the cost involved. More cores does not equate to more powerful, especially not when most games don't even fully take advantage of multi-core computing on any platform. On top of that, the memory limitation per SPE for the PS3 causes development issues because it's harder to get executing threads to fit into memory. Volition or whoever developed Red Faction reported having to get help from Sony because they were getting further and futher behind schedule on the PS3 version of their game, often running into problems where anytime they made a change, it would cause out of memory errors on the PS3 because the threads executing on the different SPEs were getting too large.

They both have their selling points, and you're going to have fanboys on both sides. The only real knock on the 360 with any merit, however, is that early revisions of the console hardware had issues with failing. The latest couple of revisions, however (Jasper and Falcon) have largely fixed that issue, and have made the 360 a very stable platform.

IMO, the 360 gives you the best bang for your buck out of any of the consoles.

As for non-shooters and non-sports games, just look at XBL Arcade. There's some awesome games there, and while they may not have the super graphics of some games, it does not diminish the fun of playing them in the least (Castle Crashers for example).

BTW, does PS3 have Left 4 Dead? One of the best games from last year btw, and looking forward to Left 4 Dead 2, just wish it was an expansion and not a stand-alone.

Al Q Bobson, footyfan09 and tbaltimore, thanks for the posts. I enjoy them.

And right now I'm really in a dilemma. X-Box 360 or PS3? It's really hard to choose....
