I think that epic should of spent more money on developing the game to run on a 360 PROPERLY,opposed to paying critics to give it a good review when it is quite clearly a shambles,so any users could you please look at the user rating instead of the metascore

Let it go, there's no conspiracy in telling people to ignore thousands of fraudulent votes. There are no user comments because no one is commenting on the game, because it's just a bunch of people voting a low score over and over out of spite.

Lose faith all you like, Gears 2 is getting fantastic reviews. And no, they're not biased or paid off.

why aint the reviews telling you about a shabby fram rate and that it lags more than the 1st game???

im sick of this shit now,the game is out on friday and when u played it come back on here and tell me its worth a 100 percent review,and that it aint slower and that it aint laggy and that the campaign is not short,ad that there is no host advantage

epic no that the game will fly of the shelves with preorders,do you really think they care about the millions of copys that will be traded in after a week??

how can you say all the votes are fradulent when u aint even played the game,i have played it and i gave an honets review,it went something like this


i have just played gears of war 2 the campagn is really good although it is short(roughly 7 hours),i am not impressed with the multi player tho it is slower than the first game and there is still host advatage,the frames are poor too,plus not to keen on the lighting they have encoporated into it


i am going to cancell my preorder for this game as it is more of a rental than a keeper,once u finished the campaign there is noting for you


i then decided to give the campaign 8 out of 10,but the online a 2 out of 10,so i decided 5 out of 10 would be a fair review for the game.

then a day later mr doyle is saying all the reviews are sony fan boys stuffing the ballot boxes,ad hides the users comments

all im saying is that aint on feel free to findd me review if mark doyle ever lets them be seen it was written by johnny soup (me) and i left an honest gamers review,all your doing is discrediting my opinion!!

any way 4 days and u will see for your self,look forward to you coming back on this thread to share your views!!!

You do realise that for a while now exclusive releases (Such as LBP) for both PS3 and 360 have been getting negative ratings by opposing fans? That is why user comments are hidden at the moment. Judging by your post you are a prime example of one of these "fanatics".

Anyway looking at the reviews so far a lot of multi platform reviews have given GeoW2 good scores, MS cant be buying them all. Though a PS3 fan like yourself will probably claim otherwise.

not sure why people are so upset/surprised that Gears of War 2 could be a let down...the first game wasn't all that (namely, the multiplayer didn't hold my attention for more than five minutes, could not even come close to rivaling my halo 2 addiction...)

You might not be a Sony fanboy but what kind of fanboy you are doesnt matter, you are a fanboy and that is clear. GeoW2 is getting very good scores from multi plat reviews so in this case I think I can safely ignore your BS.

I've seen Gears of War 2 footage and the frame rate is not "shabby". I doubt Microsoft and Epic would stoop as low as to buy high game ratings.

If Epic did, then UT3 would have been rated much higher than 82, as an example.

@ lord sloan,movies run at 24 fps mate,my gow runs at 60 fps, if i record a vid through fraps it plays back at 24 fps,so what ever u are saying is not shabby, is in my eyes!,if my gears of war ran at 24fps i would shut it down and buy a new gpu,end of !!

IGN gave it 9.5/10,i bought this game for £40 waste of money,this is why im really cautious over these big name reviewers

Received delivery of Gears 2 today from gameplay.co.uk (gotta love them for their early deliveries ). Spent a straight 4 hours playing but only upto Dirty Little Secret (I suck at shooters on a joypad, much prefer mouse keyboard). Anyway so far the game looks great and I have not had any framerate issues whatsoever. The game moves at a decent pace too, characters are far more responsive and you can feel the difference in the duck and cover mechanic, they have really tweaked it here.

Had a quick go at multiplayer and that was solid too (it was the map in the snow and a river running through the middle?) and was a nice looking map. I got my arse handed to me several times but I can hold my hands up and blame my lack of skill and not in game issues haha.

So cupasoup43 I could smell your BS when you first posted, no scratch that, whan you first cried like a baby about all the negative scores being in regard to tech issues and metacritic were trying to cover it up. You are just another fanboy who does nothing but show the negative side to gaming. Time to grow up and stop being a prick mate! Cupasoup - it's funny, you're complaining about frame rates and shouting that this game sucks on the 3rd of November - 4 days before the game came out. Now, that means you were playing a pirated copy, which can't be guaranteed to be the actual playable copy given to reviewers and put in stores...right? And don't say, "Oh no, it is." Because you don't know that. Frankly, you may not be a PS3 fanboy and you may very well be a Gears of War fanboy, but the signature at the bottom of your posts suggests you have a hidden agenda - "the xbox 360 sucks! buy Gears of War for windows!" - is basically what your signature implies. SO, maybe you should consider reviewing the actual, final build of the game, and if you are a windows fan, you're probably pissed that Gears 2 may not arrive on the PC. So, I'm not going to trust your review, I'm going to trust the professionals who review games for a living. But own up - what version had you played through and beat before the game actually arrived in stores? And what is your real agenda? It's idiots like you that require Mark Doyle to not allow reviews - you can't post a review of a pirated copy, you have to review the actual product.
