Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay Halo (and, if you're reading this in the fall "Halo 2") Ninja Gaiden RalliSport Challenge 2
1 Halo / Halo2 - gaming bliss 2 Jade Empire - combat heaven 3 SSX3 - snowboarding games got me into consoles 4 Oddworld Stranger's Wrath - innovative combat, fabulous 5 Fable - stunning world, engaging adventure 6 Simpsons Hit & Run - my 2 year old likes it 7 Brothers in Arms Road to Hill 30 - great WWII squad tactics 8 Doom 3 - scary stuff 9 Rallisport Challenge 2 - my racing favourite 10 Sudeki - not well rated but i loved the cinematics 11 Merceneries - military Grand Theft Auto 12 Lego Star Wars - fun and G rated for the kiddies
I enjoy the games best who have either great coop play or is a great squad game. In addition, I also like games with great career type functionality ( personal career / personal skills / car condition). My favourites so far have been:
Squad games: - Brute Force - Ghost Recon 1 & Island Thunder (less squad control in GR 2) - Freedom Fighters - Desert Storm 1 & 2 - Rainbow Six 3 (haven't purchased the later ones yet) Career type functionality: - Rallysport Challenge 2 - Top Spin - Sega GT 2002 - Morrowind
Anyone I have missed out on in these categories?

the chronicles of riddick also gets my vote. its been out awhile but has sweet gameplay, cool story, good controls, and excellent graphics. and its probably like $10 at your local used game store
