Well, what did everybody think of what they saw on MTV? I disliked the marketing ploy of revealing it in a thirty minute time spot, but using 15 minutes for commercials for the XBOX.
The graphics looked amazing, but how can you tell with the very expensive tv and the possibility to doctor images on the computer.
I'm not that interested in online capabilities, because I won't be able to use it. Looks convenient, but I am out of range to get any type of high-speed internet hookup.
The overall design, is okay. I am sure that most love it, sleek, small, and shiny but I prefer a more industrial look like the original XBOX.
We still have another year, but I cannot wait!

Yes I watched the MTV program about the xbox 360. Now I only watched about half of it so I was wondering if Xbox 360 was the real name of the system. But from what i saw it looked great but don't know how expensive it is! I can't wait till it comes out!!!

First off, the MTV spot was lame. It didn't utilize the time as efficiently as it should have. I hated that 'pro gamer' guy with the glasses who was hella serious and determined to beat everyone in gaming, I'm glad he got his ass handed to him though. For the name 360 I think it's offical, I would have prefered Xbox Next but I think 360 is better then Zenon. I am huge Xbox fanatic, but I can't say that I'm going to buy it as soon as it comes out. I really have to see the competition with the PS3 and the 'Revolution.' I could blabble all about it, but I figured if I just give you the website it'll save me some time, and preserve my inevitable 'soon to be carpal tunnel' hands. Anyway here's a news article.
Well I heard that the Xbox 360 will cost around $300! A little cheaper than I expected but i'm guessing at launch it will be between 350 and 400 dollers! And Perfect Dark Zero will be realeased on launch day so thats good!

This is a pretty expensive system, and it isn't comatible with old xbox games which is terrible. I wanted to trade my xbox in and use the money to pay for my x360, but now that I won't be able to play my old games, I don't know what I'll do. I am going to have to wait for prices to fall, which will be a looong way off.
What did the five fingers say to the face?! Slllap!!

From what I've read, it seems the 360 is going to be compatible with old xbox games. I know they talk about that subject on bungie.net (check the weekly whats update from like two or three weeks ago.) Even so, I would probably wait for a price drop before picking up a 360.
Ya I'm not sure that old Xbox games can be played on the Xbox 360. I read some magazines that said it would and some said it wouldn't so ya... I just hope it's backwards compatible!

What I've heard on the subject is that due to the nature of the 360's processer, it will only be able to play XBox games that having some setting or something one the harddrive or what not. I don't know all the technical details. However, what it boils down to is that most popular games will be cover but not all XBox games will be able to be played right away.
I reserve the right to be entirely wrong.

Microsoft has stated that the "most popular" xbox games will be playable on the 360, which leads us to believe that the console will come with some kind of emulator that will support the architecture of the best selling Xbox games.
And as far as price goes, $300 (the current price 'range' being considered by J. Allard and the rest of the Xbox team) is a steal considering that the original Xbox cost the same amount at launch. But just compare the stats of the two systems:
Processor: The Xbox has a 733 Mhz CPU, while the 360 has 3 symmetrical CPU's running at 3.2 Ghz each!
Ram: Xbox has 64 MB. The 360 has 512.
Hard Drive: Xbox has an 8 GB drive. 360 has a 20 GB detachable drive.
And the 360 connects wirelessly to the internet AND includes basic Xbox Live connectivity right out of the box. I hope that the $300 price range speculation stays a reality, because IMHO that's a great deal.
Wow if it is $300 I have to get it! Now I just got to know what games are coming on launch! Hopefully Perfect Dark Zero and I know the basic Madden, College, Tiger Woods Golf, and Project Gothem Racing 3 is on launch! If anyone knows please inform me!

I think it’s a pretty slick system, but I already have an Xbox… and there are so many Xbox games that I haven’t played yet that I think it will be a long time before I feel the need to buy a new system just to have prettier graphics.
I think the Xbox has a bit of life left in her. I’m keeping my coin until all three systems are out and make a judgment call from there.
Besides, I haven’t seen any games that make me want to buy the 360 yet... or Nintendo's Revolution either.

Core system- $299 includes Xbox 360, wired controler, xbox live card, basic cables(red, white, yello).
Premium system- $399 includes Xbox 360, 20 gigabite hard drive, wireless controler, HD hookup cables and the others, xbox live card, Windows media controler.
Well oblviously the premium system is a better buy because of the hard drive (which is $100 seperate) but $399 is actually a pretty good price if you look at everything your getting with it! Now just the launch titles are what im curious about!

Perfect Dark Zero is the Launch title I'm most excited about. Other noteworthy launch titles: Project Gotham Racing 3, Dead ir Alive 4, Call of Duty 2.

Dead or Alive 4 looks alright, I don't see much change in it, but I guess thats a good thing. The game I'm eagrly anticipating is Oblivion, that game looks so amazing I can't even see myself playing it. It's like telling me, "You can't play me, because I'm Oblivion, and I'm better then you as a game then you are as a person. Look at me in all my HD glory, look at the intricacy of my sword engravings, look how much time you can spend playing me, succumb to me and I will show you a fantastic time."
p.s.-I really do hope it's a fun game. From what I read it's staying true to its open ended roots.
Haha wow Katie Holmes, very loving about that game, which does look amazing! But i'm gunna have to agree with Joji that Perfect Dark Zero is my most anticipated game for the 360. Also Madden 2006, Project Gothem Racing 3, and Call of Duty 2 look very cool too! I haven't heard much on Saints Row which is a GTA style game but I thought that game looked amazing!
