I have the premium edition (20 gb). I got mine Christmas of '06, but if I didn't get it, I would've saved my money for the elite...but my 360 is still great though.

The HMDI connection is a well overdue addition that is desparately needed.

If your in the UK, before the comformation of us brits getting the same film and TV downloads as the US then the bigger hard drive would be a complete waste. BUT in August we can get them so the lager capacity is well needed.

It does look much better in black also

If you already got a 360 then I'd wait to see if you want the download stuff.

If not then get one. I got a PS3 also and so far it's complete shite. Decent games will come but they are all being delayed or coming to the 360. And the controler is just the worst thing I've ever put in my hands.

( if you dont want a PS3 the ignore my rant. Just said so in case you were undecided or something..not that you mentioned that....I'll just shut up now ))

It makes me regret that I bought the original premium. Had I waited, then I would've saved my money for a bigger harddrive.

The Elite is a sexy console but i have no regrets buying my premium, that bad boy has given me a lot of good times in the last year or so. Plus a lot of consoles up till now has been black so i am proud to have a white one.

I do not believe its a choice to buy anything other than the elite. In the long run your going to want the features the elite has. I do not regret buying mine at all and I bought he elite before the price drop.

I got one last month. I have no complaints.

In all honesty, though, the only feature that really makes the Elite significantly better than the Premium is the larger HD, and you can buy one separately. So if you already have a Premium, you have an upgrade path.

The HDMI cable is only useful if your TV supports it (mine doesn't) and you have the HD-DVD player (I don't). And black... it's just a color. Maybe makes it a little sexier, but that's all. And finding black accessories can be a bit of a pain.

So it's pretty simple. If you are thinking about buying, sure, get the Elite. If you already own, don't sweat it, you aren't missing out on anything huge.
