I may be alone here but i can't help but notice that there really hasn't been any good games coming out for the Xbox 360 recently. There was Chromehounds which was pure trash then Saints Row wich was worse. Then there was Nighty Nine Nights which was yet another disappointment, the list goes on. What do you think?

Saint's Row is fun even if it isn't too original. It has a lot of nice touches (good map/objective system, ability to customize your character, solid story) and online play.
Enchanted Arms is a pretty good option for a Japaneses RPG fix. Granted, it might be slightly derivitave and frustrating (random battles) at times. But the combat system is nice, and the characters are likeable.
Lego Star Wars 2 is a good option as well. Although, I have yet to play much of that one.
There have been some solid, if not spectacular, games coming out for the 360. I've had fun with them. Just wait a couple months and the big guns will start rolling in.

I actually agree with you points here Harry. It seems that we have to wait a long time in order to see good innovative games appear on the 360. I currently own 5 games for the console and haven't even considered buying any more for the last month or so. In the near future we're gonna see the usual EA sports updates and that doesn't really make my blood boil to be honest. Christmas is usually a good time for new games, but in all honesty, I haven't really noticed any titles announced that I feel like investigating further into. Developers may still struggle coping with making games to the console though, hopefully that's about to change in the near future.

Well im still having fun with Elder Scrolls: Oblivion (Best game ever!). I think Saints Row is a very fun substitute for GTA for now, especially with the online, which is tons of fun. Also Prey is a pretty fun title as well.

I just got Dead Rising last week and i have to say I'm pretty impressed. It may not have a deep story or groundbreaking visuals but it is hugely entertaining! it's great fun hacking through hordes of zombies with a claymore. It'll do for now......

Well I saw that the 360 was in a big slump also after the intial launch period, but with the holidays coming around I'm seeing a lot of new games hit shelves that are pretty good like Gears of War, Call of Duty 3, Splinter Cell double agent and Tony Hawks Project 8. I think the problem was that the companies thought not enough people had 360's to make more gams but now more and more people are getting them.
I love the smell of Napalm in the morning

there are more titles to the 360 than that of what you mentioned. have you even played oblivion, dead rising, hitman: blood money, test drive unlimited, burnout revenge, gears of war, condemn: criminal, kameo, viva pinata, quake IV, call of duty 2, marvel: ultimate alliance, splinter cell: double agent, tomb raider: legend, or F.E.A.R. (if you haven't played it on the pc)?
some of the titles mentioned range from excellent to downright good. despite the low release and long wait time, most titles out of the pipe are entertaining.
The only decent titles there are Oblivion, Dead Rising, Hitman, Gears of War and Splinter Cell. That's pretty poor considering the Xbox 360 has been out for almost a year. I've played most of those games you mentioned and apart from the ones I've listed, they're all crap. It has been a bad year for 360 games and i really hope better games come out next year or i'm getting a PS3........

i would tentatively agree that there's not much on the shelf to arguably call great gaming, but it has only really been one year since the release of the 360.
the really big games take at least 18 months to gestate, and some games don't do so well after that much time, but they have their fans, e.g. halo2, EA <sport> 2005/6/7, etc.
the kinds of games currently on the shelves and being produced are limited in appeal to gamers that enjoy FPS, strategy, sandbox, racing, fighting, and Action RPG's. but in a way, so are the other console games. if you don't like the genres or the content currently available on the xbox 360, wait 3 months.
it depends heavily on what kinds of games you enjoy, if you dont like FPS games, then gears of war will do nothing for you. or if you like super mario brothers, kingdom hearts or barbie's pony adventures, then maybe viva pinata will be an interesting trip for you.

I agree, however we just need to be patient Trust me 360 is gonna revolutionize how consols are and i personnaly am waiting the arrival of Halo 3, plus Gear of war is a big hit, and we cant forget all the improvments 360 has to offer in regards of x box live all the awesome features it has really kinda makes up its late arrivals of good games thus we cant forget the fact that some x box games can be played on the 360...
ya, when it first came out it didn't have much except for one thing that has been missed for some reason (Oblivion!!!) but now it has gears of war, and a couple of multi console games like marvel ultimate alliance and tony hawk, and if we wait a bit longer, it will have halo 3. P.S: hey i saw talk about ninety nine nights here, and i know i stand nearly alone on this, but i like that game.
ok IMHO gears beautiful game looks great but when a game company mashes three funtions into one button and leaves an empty button on the controller they have lost my vote ....and what i mean is A does everything run, cover and jump ... what does X do ? nothing ! i would have perfered maybe jump and run on A and cover on X as long jump and cover arent the same button it could have been better, Project 8 is good for those slow nights when Gears has me to the point my controller is gonna fly and Oblivion will keep me up all night.... i personally am waitin for Forza Motorsport 2
