So how is it? My Xbox died on me before I even got a chance to play. Fantastic.

Its worth waiting for Xbox 360 to be repaired. Portal and TF2 are great. I haven't even played HL2 or the Eps yet.

im abut to buy this game also, but my 360 has been flashing red lately a little, i just cut it off and back on and it works fine most the time, but i think imma have to get it repaired, Halo 3 and Bioshock together has really took its toll on my 360

But I can't give you this case, it don't belong to me. Besides, I've already been through too much shit this morning over this case to hand it over to your dumb ass.

since its five games in one its sort of a steal.

15 hours for half-life 2
4 hours for episode 1
4 hours for episode 2
3 hours for portal
infinity for TF2

so i got it this last weekend and played through most of half-life 2. graphics are becoming a little outdated but they're still pretty good. gameplay and controls have worked really well for the console.

and portal is a blast.

ok, finally beat portal (despite its brevity I haven't found the time to play it). the ending alone is worth it but the game is so brilliant and so innovative. Finally taking 2-D puzzles to the 3-D world. absolutely awesome. It took me 2 and half hours to beat it; its not long but its great. just eat some cake.

I'm gonna have to play this again as soon as I forget how to solve everything.

the story behind it is pretty nice. a bunch of high schoolers came up with the idea and Valve heard about it through a video game fair (like a science fair) asked them to come in and in the first five minutes they're like, ok stop, you're hired. make this game for us.

I have played everything in this lovely box and I am already missing the game. The story has quietly grown on me and I really got caught up in it during episode 2. Alyx and the G-Man continue to be some of the best characters ever created a in video game. I just wish Gordon Freeman wasn't a mute. Video game reviews have been getting on my nerves as of late (due to their inflation), so I am quite pleased to find this finely opinionated British born Australian.

also, "still alive" at the end of Portal is my favorite song of 2007. Only watch this if you have beaten it.

the cake is a lie. the cake is a lie. the cake is a lie.

now I'm playing Bioshock again and its difficult to not think about HL2. Both games are great and innovative but I'll take Half-life.

still playing through half life 2 and im loving every minute of it. i played the original half life awhile ago so i'm a little lost on the story but this game continues to amaze.
thinking about hooking up the old ethernet cable to the xbox tonite and playing some team fortress.. i remember playing that for the original half life and it was pretty enjoyable.
i tried portal but failed miserably.. mostly due to my half baked state of mind.

If you have the PC hardware to back it up (and this will all run great on 2-3 year old hardware) I highly recommend skipping the XBox version and downloading Orange Box through Steam. TF2 alone is 10 times better on PC because you can play with up to 24 players on a server, which is a lot more fun.

I had trouble with TF the other day. Couldn't find a reliable host to play. Took about half an hour before I could play. So yes, TF2 is probably much better on PC.

GG hamburgler Allin! Portal has to be the best game ever when you're baked! Or it might just confuse. Anywho, I'd play it sometime. It took me about 4 days to do it, even though it was only 2 and half hours. I would get stuck and come back later and solve it.

a general tip, though. There is a little trick called "the fling." You make three portals really fast to have that extra momentum. I won't tell you anymore, that game is all about solving things on your own so you can be like "oh, i'm a genius"

Ah yes, dedicated servers make a huge difference, as well.

The Orange Box is great. I played through HL2 and both episodes. I even downloaded a high-res speeddemo of HL2. About a 3GB download but it was fun watching this team of guys just burn through HL2 in like an 1hr and 20 mins. lol
